I have but one question. I didn't touch this yet but I know the basic storyline and that there is a lot of rage surrounding it. I am somewhat interested and since I am quite done with whatever else I was following, I might start this. Should I or not?

Have you read Suzuka? If so, this is half of what Suzuka was worth, it also has a lot of generic tropes and the story is inconsistent, worst of all, the main character make bad decision that enrage people or disgust.

Currently the author is trying to sweep away old problems and adding new characters out of the blue///

I say give it a shot. The rage that people are on about is actually a overblown a bit if you keep things in perspective. As long as you understand that the main couple has and always will be Haruto and Eba, you'll probably be able to look past the rage.

^ And most readers compare this story to real life and not view it as a fairy tale... that's where the rage comes from...

Wait for anime, as it will probably end before tokyo arc.
Or read manga and stop before tokyo arc, thinking that manga got finished.
Otherwise prepare for major *WTF is this shit* moments.
I myself gave up on the manga after Beef Strogonov Chapter, that was just to much for me to handle. Got totally bored and disgusted with story/main chara.

Definitely read it. I would say wait to watch the anime first, like Xaturas said, but we aren't expecting anything stellar from that yet. The choice is yours in that matter. BUT, you should definitely read it. It's an excellent series and the "rage" isn't really rage, it's just people complaining. This is like any series where it has it's ups and downs too. There isn't a perfect series any way, someone can always find something to not like. People complain about all of the new girls, but that's done since it keeps the ratings and all high, I'll bet some editors push it on the authors at times too. But understanding more than what you read helps, so be sure to stop in and talk - we'll fill you in on the tidbits that you may have missed. Be weary of spoilers though. I suggest making a text or Word file and putting your questions and comments as you read.

So, join the club and enjoy the excellent, sometimes frustrating, story and the always wonderful art.
