I laughed a bit at the start when Nagato explained the Admiral's reason for recalling Fubuki. It's like those situations in romantic series when the GF sees the BF with another girl and mistakes him for cheating on her, when said girl is actually just there to help him to choose a nice gift for her
On a slightly more serious tone, this highlights the difference in the level of trust/understanding Fubuki has towards the Admiral compared to what, say, Kongou has. Had she known him better, she would have taken the disbanding command and all more in stride with the knowledge that the Admiral has it all in place, as what Kongou said. On a even more serious note, I hope this is the last time we get a unnecessary forced-in KitaOoi rabu-rabu scene. Ooichi is starting to become to the not-so-funny comedic relief in the show already, sheesh. Quote:
I do wish we get those Akizuki-guns in the game as well =w= Quote:

What I really like in that bath scene is how the story brings out the full effect of Kisaragi's death. There's a real urgency and intensity because Mutsuki, having experienced the heartbreak from losing a close one, has no intention of going through all that again. And Fubuki, who knows what Mutsuki has gone through, would be more receptive to the latter's concerns =3

The Producer actually is the most popular character from the series, and that says a lot about the incompetence or lack of creatitivy (and consistence) in this series... |

You're right about one thing. It's so bad that it's actually funny from a objective PoV

Basically you'd have Akagi sink first (June), than Mutsuki (August), then Fubuki goes out with Aoba for a night battle (October) followed by a epiloge of Yuudachi going crazy in combat around the Solomons with Hiei and Kirishima (November). Ending with a crying Kongo and Haruna. It would be extremely depressing.
Which is why I don't think it will happen. The idea is to not repeat the tragedy after all. That is what the OP song says at least.

The Base not being modern might be for the Girl's sake, which is why I think its sad we see ther story out of Fubuki's eyes instead of the Admirals. If we saw the story out of the Admirals PoV we would have access to his thoughts and might get things like if the code thing reminded him on midway or why he is using an ink bottle and a feather for writing. The intro scene kinda made it sound like the girls are just ships born as humans and got spiritual powers. Yet we never hear them talk about their actual families and they generally view their sister ships as their relatives. Maybe thats the reason we never atually see them go into a town, I can see how it would be rather frustrating for people if they were souls born into humans and one day pooof they awaken, forget most things and don't consider their actual family family anymore.

I would assume the shipgirls still function like 1940s technology+plus magic. But them being in the 2010s world doing so is not out of the possible since the "+magic" is there. Their have tiny faires that fly their small planes...maybe 1/48 scale aircraft? Maybe as large as 1/24th scale.

The focus is mostly Fubuki, and she spends her time training and dreaming of being praised by Akagi. She doesn't have time for that other stuff. Sixth Destroyer was the only other main focus and they were busy cooking.
It might be they just don't hand those sorts of things to what are I suppose spirits given human form amd keep them mostly focused on their task against the Abyssal. There clothing seems more advanced than the 1940s. Especially when they are not in their usual uniforms. I am suprised we haven't seen a rice cooker for Akagi.
