So it could still be a reboot? well at least it's not a pachinko or a new game or manga or something like that, it's a new anime

Edit2: Now that I noticed, the image they used to announce the new anime has the Laevatein, not the Arbalest, so maybe it IS a continuation.
Edit3: Apparently Gatoh just confirmed it will cover the remaining volumes of the LN

Well, I did say in the previous page that I'll be satisfied if it's a new anime at all, and, well, I'm satisfied like hell right now

FINALLY!! After waiting for so long on a new FMP anime, we are getting one!! Judging by that image, it safe to say that its a direct sequel to The Second Raid and hopefully leading into the overall conclusion of Full Metal Panic! I'm so excited!!

So no studio has been announced for this new FMP project? Would be nice to have Kyoto Animations take on this project. But thats wishful thinking. I'm sure they have another studio in mind for this project.

The visual at the center showed Laevatein so it's probably picking up what's left at TSR, which means a fourth season. (Even they didn't formally announce it)

Anyway, I'm thrilled to see the news, except that my heart is still in pain with the latest episode of Fafner EXODUS, so excuse me. (Cries)

Tens years. I don't think any other franchise made its fanbase wait for so long.
Now I just hope it won't turn into some CGI crap for the Arbalest, Belial and so on, otherwise there will be riots.

CGI doesn’t mean instant bad thing. It all depends on the quality. The CGI mechs in Akito the Exiled, Majestic Prince, Gundam Origin, etc are really good. That said, I still prefer gritty 2D handdrawing for the Armslaves if they still remember how to do it right
