This is turning out pretty good, Raishin is a cool guy and Yaya is adorable and wants Raishin inside her. Production-wise I don't like the characters randomly switching between 3D and 2D but episode 2 was devoid of that so it may be fixed... or may be not.
And certainly I was not expecting that shower scene with full nudity either (censored in the Horriblesubs rip).Studio Lerche is delivering so far. And the obligatory: OP: Very nice song, visuals could have been much better. ED: I usually hate motormouth songs but this one is oddly catchy. |

The way Raishin reacted to one of Magnus' dolls suggests that he knows that doll, the Fire one. Magnus could potentially have killed off Raishin's family to steal the doll(s). Actually, given the fact that he covered all the dolls' faces suggests that they might all have been stolen. Then again, it could suggest that the doll caused the fire to his home. I still think Magnus stole the dolls.
Also, if Raishin's technique is to control a corp of dolls, does that mean the ending possibly has him controlling 2 more for a total of 3?

Short question, Shouko is the MC's sister? I thought he called her Nadeshiko in the flashback. If it not revealed yet, please don't spoil.
By the way, does anyone else want to bet that the blonde guy investigating the doll-murders and kidnappings is the culprit, and uses the MC to frame the tsundere with the dragon-doll. |

PM me if it will alleviate your itching, I might eventually succumb to the temptation of reading them, but definitely not in this thread. I think that the ending animation answered this already |

Just reading character descriptions will pretty much let you know who is who. Can't tell you about your question since it's spoiler. |

She looked a lot like Yaya. Wouldn't be surprised if she was her real waifu like Yaya said in episode 1 or were going to be married but got killed off? Not hard to guess at this point that they used her body to make Yaya.

Episode 2 was okay... I still find Yaya to be unbearably annoying and that's hurting my enjoyment of the show. |

Think it's hard to specify one good comparable for Raishin. A good guy, but he's out there for the sake of revenge. From the tests not overly talented, but does have solid martial arts and a really powerful automaton in Yaya.
I wonder if Raishin could even use more automatons even if he wanted to? That score doesn't seem to reflect immense talent. Fighting himself and using Yaya might be the maximum of what he can do right now.

@FlareKnight Raishin himself states this episode that just controlling Yaya puts him at his limit (perhaps explaining his somewhat difficulty in controlling her). To make up for his lack of additional dolls, he fights himself which is unusual. Its implied most Puppeteers don't fight with their dolls. |

Just feel like Raishin kind of fits into his own unique area. Though will agree he's probably closer to Touma than Shirou. To be fair most puppeteers only use one doll in the first place but still don't actually do any fighting themselves. That might have as much to do with common stereotypes as to feasibility in combat. Automatons are tools so naturally you let them go and get beaten up while you hang back. Just shows how far back Raishin is compared to the standard that he has to do something almost desperate like fighting on the front lines himself. And yeah he himself expressed his own limitations. If he had the capability to use multiple automatons like his family I'm sure he would have come there with more than just Yaya. Despite how much that probably would have upset her . Curious how Raishin will be able to achieve his goals with things as they are. If that guy is who Raishin is after he's going to have a tough time getting past all those automatons with just Yaya, even if he fights as well. I just had fun watching Sigmund trying not to get buried alive underneath the marbles .

Raishin reminded me of him thanks to his lousy scores in tests (Shirou was pretty bad at magic himself, but great at his own niche), fighting alongside his automaton (as Shirou did with his servant/s) and determination despite the odds being stacked against him. |

Seen the screencaps of ep2: did they bring back yaya's clogs? Raishin explicitly got yaya a pair of boots since they are easier to fight in.
Kimberley (I think) looks better than the image I have of her in my head. At this pace I think they will make it in time to cover the v3+4 pairing. Spoiler for spoiler on character appearance:
