I agree with you since I think its highly unlikely DNA would leave her people behind especially during this important transition time, I also suspect her power will still be needed in the current universe. As for age well he simply just used the Oron gate to come back since the planet has been restored and be with DNA
In either case it was none the less a good ending for the anime.

Over all I found this anime to be quite enjoyable and it may not be on my favorite animes off all time list but it sure made it on my good animes list.

The fact the gate disappeared after Age and Deianeira were engulfed by the golden light doesn't mean they crossed it to go to the new universe in fact. What would be the purpose? The Iron Tribe is still in the current universe and they need Deianeira the most now: once you obtain a great power the harder difficulties begin. You have to learn to use it in the right way, to teach others about it and, above all, to not abuse of it. The Gold and Silver Tribes left so now the Iron Tribe is the strongest Tribe around in the current universe and they can't commit any more errors like they did in the past (the Jupiter explosion, just to mention a major one).
A note about the gate: it isn't the "Oron's gate"... it's the same gate as the one which formed on Elysion. Those spheres it was made of simply traveled from Elysion to Oron, to save Age the effort to make the trip.

Well those silver sphere things did come from Elysion but the golden sphere of energy came from the surface of Oron so Im guessing Oron does have its own gate, and by gate I mean its own portal.

Alright now that iv finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and I know how that hero ends up all thats left is to see what they do with Age. All i know is Age does not deserve be pixie dust.

I don't know, it seems like the universe has been getting along without her. She has of course built up a great support network of great people, and you sort of get the impression that she's been on Oron the whole time, not exactly the command center of the universe from what I gather.

The last show was interesting. I feel somehow that something was missed and the arrangement of the final story was out of order, can't describe it but the impact of the finish just was not there for me.

Yay for Age made it back with DNA, very moving ending. This anime is one of the best I have seen so far. Hopefully we see more production from this studio.

Seirei no Moribito is better, that is if you can take a slightly slower paced anime.

After watching YM ep26 i think its fairly obvious that

Age stays with her. The whole him made a door for him kinda proves it really. I'm guessing he couldnt come back till the planet was rebuilt.

Great ending for a series, shame it had those weak episodes in the beginning, if it had built a better grounding it would probably have been the best series of the season.

Which while not conclusive definatly points to not only AGE and D being with each other.... but that its in the world of the golds.....

Pay attention to the final scene on the beach D is in her "elder form" ie is aged the aproperate 4 years, this remains so all the way she runs to the water and to age , BUT!!!! As soon as D takes Age's hand and the golden light hits the pair , Princess D is REVERTED BACK to the age she was when age left her. ( Notice Everything about her changes IE hair, Face , Body , and dun dun clothing)

There are many things which make me believe that D went with Age to the Golden Tribes dimension
-Her and Age engulfed in golden light then the gate disappearing after she grabs a hold of Ages hand
-Them suspended and then her appear as if she was 'flying' towards the golden light (23m:11s-14s)
-Having her appearance revert back to the time (-4 years) at which Age 'died' (metaphorically)


Also, the Golden Tribe did NOT give all their powers to the Silver Tribe when they left. This is evident throughout the series as the Silver Tribe never had the ability to see the future or create starways (the discussion with Purome and D on how starways are created*). Although they did grant them the Hedron shield, the Bronze tribes telepathic link and the ability 'create' stars.

* = D could leave the known network of starways and make her own where as the Silvers never did for fear of being 'lost' (ie. Elysion's starway)

The show was fairly good throughout, really picking up steam with an excellent final handful of episodes. This last one was no different, great job by the creators and animators here. Giving this one a 8.5/10 overall, I'm glad I was able to enjoy it each week.

I dunno this anime ending wasn't open ended at all. Looks to be a pretty solid ending to me. The legacy is completely passed down to the Iron tribe and the other races in the universe. Now everyone is trying to master the hedron shield.

Seems like all is good with the universe. Deianeira can go elope with her loverboy if she really wants to; she deserves it. Her job is done, she doesn't need to babysit the galaxy anymore.

Seems like a perfect fairy tale ending.

After watching ep 26 subbed I would also have to conclude that age did come back to stay with DNA in the current universe since there is still work to be done. Also appears DNA is now the queen of the universe so she still has her role to play in helping other tribes since she is now a figure head. Though in the ending with her changing appearance and the whole gold light thing is puzzling it could have aslo been done by the creators to give a more dramatic impact scene of her and age being reunited again. Lets also not forget that the baka brothers are still alive and with out DNA around I can only imagine the chaos they would bring to the universe...
