I also watch the dub for the same reason. But imo that people who always have been watching the dub and then watch the Japanese version usually prefer the dubbed. That's how it used to be for me until I got used to it.

The VAs did an amazing job at the last episode of the first season. Lelouch and Suzaku really ham it up to show off their emotions and make the dialogue sound convincing.

I got shivers listening to Nina's frantic demeanor in her last scenes.

lol Anyway, it seems two unexpected characters won Bandai Entertainment's character popularity poll?

What in the world.

And yes the voice actors did great, you really felt the emotions that were released had a great sense of realism behind them. Kudos to them.

I'd have voted for Clovis, too. o.o
Hm... I think I also liked his voice in the dub. Then again... that was before I watched the first few episodes with subs. o.o

Sigh, It's being shown so late again. >_< 4 AM? Bah!!!

The final scene with Lelouch and Suzaku was awesome though, Especially when they were yelling each other's name.

i just check ANN's R2 file here the dubber for the R2 characters as of right now http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...me.php?id=9173

Dave Wittenberg as Gino Weinberg
David Earnest as Li Xingke
Stephanie Sheh as Anya Alstreim

so let gino got Kakashi Hatake's english, while sheh join the list of female geass dubber doing more than one character as anya despite she also Kaguya, & unknown dubber for xingke

Actually, the VA who's doing Xingke really sounds like David Vincent so this could be another case of using pseudo names in a union dub.

If the series was so successful here in the US, then why air it at the 5a.m. timeslot? The ratings would be incredibly low.

So they can stuff in more of their comedy, some of which inexplicably manage consistently higher ratings than anime ever does.

It got low ratings, primarly because they didn't advertise because CN is trying to get rid of anime. Keep in mind that most fansub fans are not watching it, and even if they did that small blip would be peanuts compared to the amount it needed. Just because something is heavily fansubbed doesn't mean its an actual success in America.

One Piece is one of the most scanslated mangas in the US, and its not even in the top 10 getting constantly outsold by Negima which doesn't even get close to the amount of people who read One Piece online.

Compare the huge boost that Naruto got when it first aired, it catapulted from just being in the top 10 to being by far the best selling manga in the US.

All of the comedy is getting better ratings, Anime's ratings are incredibly low due to the fact that its just not as popular, and because they don't advertise.

That's why we should get the word out. Just tell everyone to have their TV set to Cartoon Network on Saturday nights. They don't have to watch. Just leave it :P

Anyway, I was wondering why Rolo sounded so familiar and whiny. Then I realized whose voice it is
