Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc got announced today, at the end of the Entertainment Arc finale.

Airing date is unknown though

Now it's just the AoT movie left to be announced and then the trifecta of unsurprising anime news announcements will be done.

If you haven't started yet and hate waiting, then yeah. It's going to take a few more years until they complete the adaptation.

I did watch the first season only, I don't mind waiting I just wanted to be sure they are going to adapt everything and for the looks of it they will.

It's the same as jojo, I'm waiting for everything to get adapted.

But serious, the main thing about doing this is the same reason why I(and possibly others) condemn Netflix's 'drop a whole season at once' philosophy; missing the commentary and thoughts and hype that a single episode can bring is rather unfortunate. Not trying to convince you, just felt like dropping my 2 cents about it =0v.

I hope they are careful with the pacing. The director made early episodes from Train and season 2 (3?) kinda slow to follow like when Zenitsu was caught by a demon or Tanjiro ended up killing himself in cliffhangers to wake up

Zenitsu only appears in a miniature flashback in the arc while Inosuke only appears in the first episode.

The Upper meeting was basically Ufotable flexing as hard as they could. It did look very cool and that part of the episode was interesting. The rest had too many potatoes. On the bright side...

Yes! That was the best thing about this episode.

Although right now I think I hate Tanjiro more for covering Mitsuri's boobs. Zenitsu would have let them spill out.
That said, it was pretty refreshing to see that Tanjiro is far from immune to women's charms. Shounen MCs are all too often asexual until they suddenly get paired up with someone at the end of their series, and I thought he was among them.

And all this time I thought it was a given the sun breather user was Tanjiro's ancestor but evidently not. He was a stranger who saved Tanjiro's ancestors, and most likely went on to pass his techniques to them. Upper 1 looks a lot like him but doesn't have the same voice, so I'm guessing they were brothers and he's the reason that guy was so hard on himself: he couldn't prevent his brother from going to the dark side.

Spoiler for SSV arc ep1: Pretty much what I couldn't wait to see; all the Upper Ranks and who were going to be the next Uppers to fight. Muzan always seems serious as f'k, but everyone else just chill and acting without worry(except #4). It was interesting seeing all of their personalities at play, and made the meeting more fun that it actually was. #1 definitely looks like Tanjiro's father, but it couldn't be him, since he's likely been #1 for the 113 years since their last meeting, if the word of the Upper Ranks being unchanged for 100 years is true. On the human side, it was cute seeing Kanao so worried about Tanjiro, when before she was so expressionless. Of course everyone else was worried, but when Goto(the kakushi) told everyone Tanjiro was awake, that was a pretty fun time. It nicely contrasted the serious meeting of UR in Infinity Castle. I'm glad Tanjirou is starting this one out solo. It gives him some space without having to worry about splitting the time between other characters. That's what has been a somewhat annoying aspect of the last couple of arcs; they tend to like to jump around to everyone. But here, it's all Tanjirou, though I don't imagine it'll be like that for long. There's also no loud Zenitsu . Michiru is nice on the eyes and gets along with Tanjirou rather well, so their time together was cute. I could give 2 f'ks about Genya(?), he got the Bakugou in 'em, but he'll have to grow on me. Swordsman at the end looked like UR#1, but we'll see if he is the original Hinogami user, a former one, Tanjirou's actual dad, or just a phantom/fake. Makes me look forward for s3. __________________ Pure of heart, precious as life (^,^ )
