It's interesting but her character didn't get a lot of time during the festival. She seemed nice enough but I got the impression that she was part of that female group alongside the chairman. Apparently she's quite an independent thinker though, and it seems she may have seen straight through all of Hachiman's little schemes during that event. Hachiman was indeed quite the hard worker. An interesting new challenger has arrived!

My love is at least on same level ( but my hate for often changing avatars is bigger)! So next time say you know two specific people pls!
And yeah anime didn't spend much time on side characters. Btw Spoiler for fate/oregairu:
I guess someone was bored... |

Nice to see a show where the main character is not pulled into romantic attachments. I was so disappointed when that happened to the main character in Hyouka, and I kept wondering if something similar would happen to Hikki, but he remains a self-reliant observer. Unfortunately he does not seem to be a very happy person despite being so independent. He should take up the practice of reading steadily, like the female lead. You will usually see her with a book when she is alone. This is how non-social people achieve great happiness. I also spent my youth much the same way.
Also, bonus point for not filling a "love comedy" with nudity and flirting. |

He also knew The Little Prince well enough that he could tell which lines were left unchanged in Ebina's play during the school festival ("This is strange. Even the untouched lines are starting to sound like Boys' Love"). Hachiman, Yukino, and Watari himself are all fairly well-read. |

Hikkigaya is actually shown to be a bit beyond just a reader. He's pretty knowledgeable about quite a lot of things. The books are the most obvious, but as it's been said he really doesn't get much screen time with reading. On the other hand Yukinoshita lives in books (with cute cat stickers). It's yet another important thing that they have in common that really never got shown. They're both quite cultured.

I don't mean to imply that Hachiman is crying in the rain. But those dead eyes and the mouth that has forgotten how to smile is not something most young people would want to see in the mirror. I don't wish him to break into song in the supermarket, but it would be nice to see him have one refuge where he could lay off at least some of his cynicism by the door. I think he deserves that much.
