Steins;Gate-Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN, who has been doing their own research on time travel, tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them. I really loved this series because the comedy is great yet not to the point where it kills the anime. This a phycological thriller that is a must watch. Also it has its dark points as well. Highly recommend this.
Monster-Dr. Kenzo Tenma is a renowned young brain surgeon of Japanese descent working in Europe. Highly lauded by his peers as one of the great young minds that will revolutionize the field, he is blessed with a beautiful fiancé and is on the cusp of a high promotion in the hospital he works at. However, all of that is about to change with one critical decision that Dr. Tenma faces one night – whether to save the life of a young child or that of the town's mayor. Despite being pressured by his superiors to perform surgery on the mayor, his morals force him to perform the surgery on the young child, saving his life and forfeiting the mayor’s. All of a sudden, Dr. Tenma’s world is turned upside down by his decision leading to the loss of everything he previously had. A doctor is taught to believe that all life is equal; however, when a series of murders occur in the vicinity of Dr. Tenma, all of the evidence pointing to the young child who he saved, Tenma’s beliefs are shaken. Maybe the Higurashi series |

It's usually considered good form to first search this forum since most questions like yours have been asked and answered countless times (though not as often as "romance/ecchi/comedy/action" requests). Just go back to the top of the Suggestions forum, click the "Search this Forum" link on the right-hand end of the header, then enter the word "dark." You'll find dozens of threads to check out.

I guess by dark you mean a lot of blood... Anyway here is what I consider dark:
From airing series you should try Mirai Nikki*, will give you Deadman Wonderland feeling. There is also Another but I personally am dissapointed with it so far =/ Aoi Bungaku series are set of small series with some dark and sad stories. Some darker than others. Death Note are dark series with lots of deaths. Ga-Rei Zero* are dark and sad series, especially in later half. Ghost Hunt are dark series about ghost hunting, not much blood there though but really good. Hundred Stories are dark series but with weird animation. But I think it works but does require time to get used to it. Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica look very girlish and innocent but if you get pass episode 3, you'll see that they are actually dark series. Monster are dark and serious detective series. Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom are dark and dramatic series about assassins. Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin are dark and sad series about friends who met in prison and about their lives while imprisoned and when they are out. Shiki are dark and sad series about vampires.(*in the last few episodes only, otherwise none) Steins;Gate are dark series about time travel. Dark mostly kicks in second half. Umineko no Naku Koro ni* are dark series with bunch of brutal killings. Those are the dark series I enjoyed, most of them are not blood heavy though. I've put * to those that are. Also since you have Deadman Wonderland on your list, you might want to try Berserk and Claymore then too. EDIT: Spoiler for Another:

Orgo Proxy - Dark Post Apocalyptic story about a man trying to make sense of the world and the people around him.
Seikon no Qwasar - Dark action with mature content. Angel Beats - Light at first but gets darker and sad near the series end. Puella Magi Madoka Magica - Slow few episodes but alot of twists and turns, shocking relevations. It's magical girl that men can watch and enjoy.

You should also try Rin : Daughters of Mnemosyne : the 2008 6-episode mystery telefilm anime follows Rin, a agent working for a private investigation agency at Tokyo. For some reasons, she finds herself hindered by strange cases as that come her way, while her dark past was suddenly revealed and her inability to die. It's known for having heavy ecchi depicted in a grotesque way and huge loads of gore, a la Elfen Lied style.
Not to mention with C3 : Cube X Cursed X Curious : the 2011 12-episode supernatural action romance TV anime follows a highschool boy named Haruaki Yachi who mysteriously meets a girl who is the personification of the heavy black cube. However, she is known to be a object of serial tortures. The beginning is rather comedic, but it soons involves lot of action with sadistic, mentally-deformed enemies that the main characters would fight them. It also depicts loads of gore, but somehow below of Elfen Lied.
