That's why It's sometimes just not worth ordering from Japan. US based sites give you much longer to pre-order, Japan gives you a handful of hours at most, for the popular figures.

I'm still debating on if I should switch to SAL for Nendo Nanoha and Fate. Anyone out there with personal experience involving SAL and HLJ? ._.;

More like US based sites give you longer to pre-order because sometimes it's cheaper for certain countries to go with the Japan based ones.

moar like It's Japan, and that's where anime otakus thrive the most. And MGLN

...but could be partly your reason too. Though It's hard to believe with their currently high yen exchange rate, and their ridiculous shipping charges.

Unless of course, you wish to wait four weeks to a month for a broken figure, with SAL.

Sarcasm aside, I've ordered three times using SAL. The first package came fine, the second had noticable damage to the box, but the figure was not damaged. The third time, despite popular opinion, was not a charm. The box to my magazine was missing, and the magazine itself was in shambles.

Why do they end Preorders in December then? HLJ keeps preorders open untill they've sold every item they expect to get in the initial shipment.

Pre-orders end in December if the stock holds up. It just so happens that the Nanoha nendoroid sold so many pre-orders, that they had to close the pre-orders the same day of It's release...

Yeah, I've been hearing a lot of "SAL isn't that bad!" kind of things without knowing where the original poster was from.

I mean, if you're from Singapore, SAL doesn't seem bad at all. I'm all the way over in Canada, though. :V

Release date for the Fate nendo is 4/30/10 in Japan so it should be shipping in May or even later.

That's odd... why do preorders end at some arbitrary point? Usually they will continue until they run out of stock or the release date comes, whichever happens first.

Well it was in stock today at about 12:45 AM (GMT). They must have confirmed more stock or something. The meter was at about 25% when I placed my order. I came here, posted then went back to get the link to the exact page when I got there it was already sold out again.
