As always.

But honestly, this WHOLE ARC should be placed way at the front with Sae. The more I think about this, I think they wasted a good bulk of goodwill on these two arcs. Funny, but not fitting, especially coming IN-BETWEEN romance arcs.

Effectively, what they did was:

Haruka
Kaoru
Sae
Ai
Rihoko
Tsukasa

They should have placed the italicised ones in the front. Or At least, together, after Haruka.

Placing the Rihoko arc at the beginning would've been a bad idea, as they would've scared most people away

I finally saw this episode's extra scene.......It's basically Ai and Sae asking Miya if Junichi has a girlfriend and asking her to give him their chocolates. I thought it would be about Rihoko and Junichi..... ;_;

I rewatched Rihoko's arc last night and it wasn't THAT bad. I think the reason why most people(including me) gave her arc a bad rating is because we were expecting a romantic interaction between Junichi and Rihoko from the very start. But if you lower your expectations and treat the arc as a non-romantic, slice of life anime then you'll start to appreciate the way the writers handled her arc.

Or maybe Haruka's arc set such a high standard that viewers expected each arc to be the same instead of having a different themes.

Here's a summation to the Rihoko arc:

"Am I fat? OMG, I am fat. Waaaaa, but I'll eat some cupcakes anyways."
