Question How to get screencaps / screen capture / screenshots

In Win98, PrntScrn doesn't work.

Is there some other player that can take screencaps.

Any help would be great.

screen capture program.

I was wondering what screen capture software you peeps are using. I would like to capture some scene from these animes and then learn to draw from it.

Thus far, the print screen key has proven quite useless for such an occasion. Any suggestions?

thx

I just click "Screenshot" on the taskbar, and it saves it automatically.

I love Linux ^_^

Use the grab screen shot feature in ffdshow.

KDE or Gnome or some other DE/WM which includes a taskbar? Which media player?

If you hit PrintScrn on your keyboard, all you have to do is paste the image in a image program.. lol
any version of Paint Shop Pro captures images nicely.

Screenshots

I want to take a screenshot of some animes, but I only get a black screen.
How can I make a srceenshot of an anime?
At the moment I'm using Windows XP and the Media Player 9.0.

I suggest you use BSPlayer which has an easy screen capture function.

You could

A. Press "ctrl-i" when in windows media player

B. In your windows media player options, in the performance tab, click advanced, then uncheck overlay. When playing the file then press "print screen"

either option would be easy enough.

Taking screens with BSPlayer

Hm, I tried with a variety of fansubs...
I open BSPlayer, open the fansubs, and press p and I even tried shift+p
I also tried manually...but my results turn out
either black, or just a bunch of colored fuzz
[see below]

Well, I have windows xp and only ffdshow installed...
do I need divX and Xvid installed seperatly in order to take screens?
Please help

Well, I thought I would post here since I am trying to take screens of fansubs, and this is the thread for fansubs...

But I suppose it really doesn't belong here...

Just to rule out problems. I have WindowsXP and ffdshow-alpha without DivX or XviD installed, just like you. I use BSPlayer for all my screenshots and it works perfectly.

I wonder why the lil ol' ALT+STAMP is nerfed that much. Use it, it works with BSPlayer perfectly. Just hit them and your system will save a screen of the active window.

If you still have problems with screenshoots pick Hypersnap-DX. -_-;;
