Because I saw the first episode raw, I had to repeat several time to listen what she's saying and I stil cannot figure it out. I came to the conclusion she's speaking in alien language. >_<

Hi, I'm the translator for this series. Ren is indeed speaking alien language. Luckily, in the manga, they align kanji to her weird symboled words during the transformation scene, so we used that as reference. However, the other times that she speaks in alien language, there is no aligned kanji.

I was doing the wrong aproach. I tought it was like a pig latin thingy. and I tried to rearange the words around see if I can find a patern and if it will make any sense. After about 3 hours trying different stuffs .... I gave up, it's an alien language. >_<

It's really cool you guys got that one translated. ^^

Yep, currently there are 5 volumes that I know of, and have the raws for. I believe a small scanlation group has translated several chapters of it to date as well. There was a torrent for it on mirkx yesterday if I recall correctly.

This is going way off the topic, but aliens in sci-fi shows look humanoid because they have *gasp* humans playing the aliens and because of technological limitations. A plane "looks like a bird" because it is necessary to have wings to fly. It's simple physics, not artistic design. Besides, the storm troopers in Star Wars are cloned humans in armor, not aliens or robots and it's mostly just the multi-purpose droids that look humanoid. I don't think a human shape is in any way optimal for combat. Hell, I don't think mechas will ever be used for combat even if we had the technology to build them. It's just not practical or cost efficient.

I can't even imagine how complicated it would be to control a robot capable of doing all the same movements as humans. You would have to tap your nerv system right into the computer or something and even then you would have to be able to do all those moves yourself. Being used to the shape has nothing to do with how easy a vehicle is to pilot.

I've been waiting for this one for a while. Just watched ep1 and I can safely say that I like it. I also just started the Wind TV series and Girls and like those two quite a bit as well.......for what it's worth anyway.

the ero sensie rawks

Normally, a character like that would annoying the hell out of me ( i.e. the teacher from Mohoromatic), but the fact that everyone seems to be embarresed that shes thier teacher makes her more of a comedic element rather then just another pervayer of fan-service. I dont like the character design much though. Too pionty~

I just watched the first episode. I love the character designs and drawing style to them (every series I think has good art turns out to be ecchi ^^"). I noticed some Chobit rip-offs...

1) The scene where he wakes up in the morning with the DearS and tries to hide it from that girl, by doing wierd poses. (ep1 of Chobits!)
2) When he wasn't paying attention in class (ep3 of Chobits!) (not so much of a rip, but it reminded me of it strongly)

Anyways, I'll probably continue watching it.

Meh, the concept for this show is just very cliched. But it was cliched long before Chobits.
I like to call it the 'magical girlfriend' genre.
(Mamoromatic/Video Girl Ai/Ah! Megami-sama/Midori no Hibi etc...etc...)

That's kinda.....freaky. Well in the competition between DearS and BravoGirl the former has a big lead IMO.
