Thank you very much, Deathkillz, and I offer an apology for getting to aroused and hyperventilated in my last post. Yes, I overlooked with all the hurry, your review for episode twelve.

Fortunately, I have downloaded and saw the sub.

The comedy is gold.

It was just priceless to witness Tokiko's relunctance upon having to follow Bravo and Kazuki's pose play in order to open the lock to access Butterfly's villa when common sense indicates that the bad guys won't be opening the access to their enemies.
Tokiko had gone so far with the humilliation game and decided to cast some judgement day.

BTW, doesn't Angel Gozen be the ugliest and yet funniest mascot for the entire series. It sure knows how to entice Tokiko's mad side with razor-sharp objects.

Ok. Basically, now I know why Papillion is slightly incensed with his old-mummy Gramps.

And we get to hear lots of the cool music from the soundtrack; lots of epic drama and Mahiro moe -ness to the extreme.

I tell you she and Kazuki must be distant relatives to Orihime Inoue.

A Shonen Jump series that isn't over 100 episodes???????? The Hell! This means that either they will have to make up their own ending which is often disasterous, or they will cut it off at the end of an arc.

actually i think thats a good thing...i mean i already have D gray-man to follow which is said to have 52 eps O.o and tbh if they finnish this fast then it means that they dont have time to waste on crappy fillers so they jump straight into the action whilst keeping the battles alive...tbh i wont want to see the same thing over and over again...we all know that kazuki is gonna kick ass in the end

The manga is only 10 volumes...there's no freaking way that they could pull the series anywhere near 100 episodes without making new material, and we all know how pissy people are about non-manga original material...

Strawman Argument Alert, I never said anything about the human race dropping a few notches in this thread!

I always do my research and know about the length of the manga and the length of the series. Still 10 volumes is long enough for at least 50 episodes. I say the 100+ episode thing because back in the days of Toei Douga doing Shonen Jump series they went on forever to the point of ridiculousness. Now there's often a problem of series being too short. Perhaps this is a good thing for this series, but somethings going to get left out probably.

and a quick recap of the battle between DR B and papillon...

well kazuki runs past and stops at the room where his sister and friends are...as he opens the room the bumb into him...the war still standing but are very weak...they tell kazuki that he needs to leave them and go fight...go fight and win! with this spirit boast they run off with mahiro wishing them luck and telling tokiko to plz look after kazuki...after that they faint...

hearing someone dropping kazuki becomes pissed and uses his attack to go up instead of running the stairs wasting time...

well papillon talks to DR B who is still alive but lying on the floor...well DR B tells him his side of the story and his past...how he became a homunculus etc...

finally he dies in peace while giving one final word of advice to papillon...

yep and we then see kazuki using his attack to blow up through a flew levels of the building and smashing the contianer which held the boss...but kazuki is shocked to see him single handedly stopping the attack O.o he pushes hime back down and kazuki is slammed against the floor...

the boss (victor) then lands on the roof...while saying his last goodbyes to DR B...tokiko realises who victor is and is shocked...he is draining everyone's energy ~ even tokiko and papillon...kazuki yells for him to stop but he says its no use and he cant fight...but then refusing to give up kazuki puts back together his dislocated shoulder with force...ouch >.<

he attacks but missed horribly and is punched through the stomach...the shock wave even blows back tokiko...okey now she is enraged...she attacks but is blockes (bare handedly) by victor...he grabs her and takes her energy...kazuki revives again and the both attack...he breaks all of tokiko's scyth and tosses her aside...kazuki charges in and managed to stab into victor's hand...but it heals...he asks who kazuki is and sees his power...

well he then responds by pulling out his black kakugane...from his chest O.o does this mean that hes also missing a heart like kazuki? ~
well his busou renkin forms into an axe...kazuki charges in again and the axe hits his lance causing it to deform...

holy!!!!...we then see a cracking kakugane dropping onto the floor...i feel that it is kazuki's T_T...he falls t the ground with a gaping hole in his chest where his kakugane used to be...NOOOO!!! >.<!!!

tokiko is shocked...and aimes to go in suicidal...she picks up a piece of her shattered scyth and attacks...its no use and he continues draining...

tokiko holds kazuki's hand and mourns for him...but no! kazuki's will is still in the kakugane...as he stands up again like a zombie with his wound healed...his kakugane returns to him and he activates it as a black kakugane...the same as victor...oh my god! O.o

his appearence changes to match victor and tokiko wonders what the hell is going on!

oh my gods...i just cant wait to see how the fight goes...damit i want it now >.< grr!

Indeed, this episode was the BOMB and signals that the first part of the story is peaking into the climax.

Victor is the real business and there's still much mystery about him, since DR. Butterfly is no help at all.

Exactly, where does the Kakugane came from?; Was Victor the type of human who scorned other's existence before he evolved into a Homo Superioris?; What is the true essence of the Kakugane and if its instrumental to reach that level of evolution?; or is it that maybe and just maybe there are special types of Kakugane that only reach those who prove to pure fighting spirit and will power to master the power?

The theme for this episode is pure fighting spirit. Kazuki goes what could be berserk mode in a trance state and wants badly to win at any costs, though there's danger that he'll end up consumed by the overwhelming power of his black kakugane and transform into a killing machine.

Fortunately, since Tokiko's alive and at the same scene as well, that means she'll play an instrumental role for returning Kazuki to his senses and allow him to power-up on the manner that he's freed to choose.
It's an old plot device in some shounen anime but always works on extreme fighting situations or circumstances where the main male lead closes into the verge of his own doom, but the female lead reaches to him and saves his soul.

However, don't you think strange that both Kazuki's and DR. Butterfly's kakugane were labeled with the same roman numeral: LXX.

This is before Kazuki's kakugane sheds its worn-out form and turns into a black one with the roman numeral: III on it.

The curious pattern- Victor possesses the I kakugane, which is black. Kazuki as well revealed it with his III black kakugane.

I wonder if the first ten or so kakugane are special and all black-colored?

The soundtrack played during Kazuki & Tokiko v.s. Victor was wonderful. It reflected the despair and dread experienced on an overall disadvantageous situation where clearly the enemy has the absolute upper hand.

I don't know what it is about Tokiko, but I'm strangely attracted whenever I see her with that pissed off look on her face. Its such a complicated expression she wears. Heartless, but not evil.

well yea DR butterfly was pretty much blown away by papillon well the guy was just another pawn for victor...hes already served his purpose ~

well apparently victor used to be an alchemic warrior himself before his wife changed his kakugane into a black kakugane (how she did that was beyond me) ~ well he was being targeted as a wanted criminal for some reason and amongst that he must have changed himself into a homounculi in order to obtain power to escape...and DR butterfly just helped him rebuild his body back ~

i duno about the kakugane stuff but imo i think that all kakuganes can have the ability to turn into a black kakugane...all you need is a strong will ~ if you havent notice i think that everytime the warrior who posessed a kakugane is defeated their kakugane cracks and the warrior dies...but this time it seems as if kazuki has surpassed the "death" state with his will and is able to awaken the next stage of the kakugane's "hidden powers" ~ this could be why the outer layer shattered to reveal the black kakugane ~

also i found it suspicious that the tatoo is positioned at the "heart" ~ position...does this mean that victor also has a kakugane for a heart!? O.o baybe that is the way to release the power of the black kakugane? ~ you need to be missing a heart

Not at the pace that Busou Renkin is going. Half the manga has already been covered in this first half of the anime, without having left out anything. It looks like 26 episodes will work just fine. Considering that everything is one story arch, really, it's highly unlikely that anything will be left out, any event, any plot point, any character.

I know exactly what you mean about me and the Haruhi threads on the Sokou No Strain topic. However, why the cheap shot?

On a side note the opening gives yet more credence to my theory that the high ups in the anime industry love me again this year. Good ol Basara Neki. They could have just as easily had Aya Hirano do some sort of opening, but they threw me a bone here and deferred to somebody I absolutely adore, Yoshiki Fukuyama. Been a long ass time since I heard a male singer do an opening let alone one of my favourites. Furthermore, they seem to have stopped having openings for action series that sound like they belong in a romance series. For a while it seemed like the industry was just throwing songs into shows that were popular in order to sell CD's regardless of whether they fit or not.

In the aspect of action, that would be a wise choice. The only thing about BR is that it felt rather rushed for me for the manga, so I was hoping they would do a better job in making the ending "not so rushed" instead, perhaps inserting one or two filler episodes to enhance character development or relationships.

After watching 14, all I got to say is Kazuki = PIMP! His character is so awesome, even though too idealistic at times.

I knew Kazuki was strong, but he keeps getting stronger and stronger. Even though he died again he came back, so unexpected. But even more unexpected was that huge power boost and transforming into the same race as that new hardcore evil guy. He's probably going to get another boost or evolve against since the power he's using now is like dark evil power that is draining everyone's life, to probably some angelic being thing, but who knows. CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT!!!
