I wonder who will be producing the model. Bandai? Arii? Hasegawa? Fine Molds?
I hope it's not some no-name company (meaning, a company that isn't well known). Endless "Model connoisseur"

While this isn't exactly a voice actress joke...One can probably form one once on realized that the woman playing the new nurse on Space Battleship Yamato 2199, is also the same actress that plays Jenny.
http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.p...st_id=26993253 So can one imagine Jenny as Captain of the Space Battleship of Legend?

There's hope to work on another season (that's what was said in that article), zero confirmation for now. And well, every time Sato wanted to do more of a series he ended up with questionable results (Nadesico movie) or stuff cancelled without knowing the reason (Stellvia).

I wouldn't be surprised if the true sales numbers would be higher if they were better stocked. If they stock Volume 3 properly, maybe we'll see it have 7k+ in sales. |

Hmm. The novel ship designs look more sleek - due to the more aerodynamic shape.
The animated version has 7 engines. 2 in the "wing". A big one at where you'd call the "tail fin" area. And the the 4 core engines right out of the tail end. Given the job description of the Bentenmaru -- I'd be nervous about those outside engines as targets.

Watched the first 6 episodes. Damn, the setting is well thought out.
- Colonies surrender to superior space fleet. - conditions of peace treaty lets them keep their military strength and all units when the treaty was signed. Empire didn't take into account pirate ships and worded treaty vaguely. - Empire rolls its eyes and lets the pirate ships slide since they are "privateers.' - in order to maintain max number of ships, they exploit a loophole in their privateer law for generations - pirates are sort of "government special forces" that make money on the side entertaining tourists in their sector of space. Government needs them to maintain the "pirate facade" so the government can use them for official business and keep a max number of combat space ships. |
