Mmm... I prolly sound like a hypocrite but too much cheesiness on Ichika praising. Though I think it's the slightest bit over acceptable level

Okay so how bout a suit that can assimilate and devour any and all tech it comes in contact with. After that can twist them into it's own image/form. plus some viral upgrades.

Like Venom mixed w/ nano suit.

Just be sure to balance it INSIDE the story, no matter if a suit is overtech or undertech on paper, it's the plot portrayal that's more important.

I have such kind of assimilator unit myself, but it's not as good on paper, and plain bothersome in practice. To quote on Dan

"Mass repairing this unit require me to fed it a scrapped Go-Kart, slowly, as if it enjoyed every second of the moment"

I don't know for sure, but it seems to be okay...

The only thought I have about ISRI itself, is that it's like another IS Academy, but scaled down...

Anyway, I just finished writing the Prologue to Project Silverback's 2nd arc. But before I post it, there are still some things that need to "cleaned up" in the 1st arc.

It might take a while before the 2nd arc's Prologue will be up.

ISRI is supposed to be the next step after ISA. ISA is a school first before it is a piloting instruction. Just as in military school they teach you basics and the like. ISRI regiment is where the pros are at. Equivalent to seals and covert ops and whatever special forces you want to signify exactly how tough training is in equivalent. ISA still caters to traditional education, but ISRI demands you to live, breathe, eat, drink, and dream IS before you are considered worthy of being in there. They have a hand in everything related to IS related businesses. ISA is where you sift through the gems and the dirt. ISRI is where you polish them and baptize them in fire.

It's a business establishment. Rather than stockpiling information they are more than happy to show it off. They don't call it information leakage but instead treat it as publicity and advertisement. Sure other companies can copy, but do they have the same quality and profficiency that ISRI has? Considering companies consult with them,everything comes at a price. Copyright and patents may even apply. :3

A company that was started up as the leading authority on unlocking the secrets of the IS, it was originally owned by the government. However due to the funds required for building and maintaining IS academy, the ISRI was eventually shut down. But instead of shutting down, it was bought out by a private business owner. ISRI was funded and tasked with more than just researching the mechanisms that existed within IS. The Infinite Stratos Research Center was also to serve as the information hub and leading developer of IS frames and complimentary technologies. It compiled information on current up to date technologies to provide the most accurate data on each and every IS related machine on the planet. However despite the kindness of their benefactor, the ISRI still had to pull its own weight if it wanted to do more than just stay afloat. With the blessings of the private company owner, ISRI also provided services to other companies. Whether it was material analysis, equipment testing, or even design consultancy. As for employees ISRI offers a research fund for those bright minds that want to get in to the thick of IS research, complete with a laboratory and an assortment of other scientists and pilots of varying specializations to work with.
