Wow this forum is allot more in depth then I would have expected. Interesting read even though I only read the last few pages. Im just goin to say this is my fav anime atm and well its just recaptures all that Tenchi muyo epicness that I saw as a kid.

Ok I admit I can't understand what they are saying in this episode but I watched it anyways and it seems gem stones do pop up which re-enforces my belief that Washu has something to do with all of this can't wait till the fan sub

Had a chance to watch episode 11 now and it entertained me well, as usual. One thing I wish though, is that Isekai had a greater, more varied pool of BGM tracks to draw on, especially for battles, be it the "we're in trouble" or "the hero kicks ass" kind. I like all the tunes, but sometimes feel certain scenes could have had a greater impact with a different BGM track.

Plenty of stuff happening this time around. And oh god, I enjoyed seeing Dagmyer and his cohorts getting scared out of their minds. Something else I liked, was that Emera was finally getting the opportunity to shine and show off her Seikijin-form (although briefly). Although we were told in earlier episodes that she's comparable to Chiaia in skill, she always had to "job" in various scenes, which made her look rather bad as a result.

It was interesting to see Kenshi go out of control. I'm not quite sure whether that was the animation teams intent, but in this episode, it seemed that Kenshi rather enjoys going all out. Both when he overpowered the generator and later when he shrank that falling rockface, he almost seemed happy, when "flexing his muscles".

The "meat" of the episode though was the 2nd half, with a major info dump by Chiaia's father on the history of the world, the origin of the seikijin/-shin and Mexiah's/Doll's origin. My listening comprehension isn't good enough to give a detailed account though, so I won't try (for now).

Two interesting tidbits though. We do get confirmation that Doll and Mexiah are indeed the same being and always were. There is no "real Mexiah" that got copied by Doll. They really are one and the same. The 2nd tidbit is, that Mexiah is apparently an artificial human, created to battle the Seikishin. There were 3 such beings made. The first got destroyed/killed during an earlier battle with the Seikishin, the 2nd is Mexiah and just as Chiaia's father was going to talk about the third one, he was interrupted by an alarm. The thing that caught my attention though is, that the reason why he started elaborating on those 3 was, because he got excited about what I think were test results from a medical scan performed earlier on Kenshi. Will be interesting to see what the connection here is.

Last not least, we finally got confirmation on who is hiding behind Neizai's mask. Of course we still don't know her true agenda and what her particular role is in the grand scheme of things, but I guess some things have to be left for the remaining episodes.

Explanation of the bioroids


Well over 100-million years ago, Washu and Tsunami appeared in our dimension. It appears that they were in giant humanoid form, but both had created containers for their Choushin powers -- Tsunami within Tsunami-no-ki (the Genesis tree) and Washu within the gems. Their goal, as we now know, was to prove the existance of a higher kami.

We have all heard of the precursor civilization (or the Great Prehistoric Civilization as it is called in the doujinshi). In GXP, we saw the remnants (ruins) of the precursor civilization when Seina came upon the Wau idol, which turned out to be a giant mecha that contained a 1st-generation tree-seed from Tsunami. This civilization went out and seeded the galaxy to leave a legacy, knowing they were in decline.

However, 100-thousand years before the precursor civilization started, there was another civilization in the galaxy. Galaxy Academy records state that this civilization is the oldest in the galaxy, so I will hereby dub them as "the ancients" since the doujinshi did not name them. The ancients are recorded to have created three clones of Washu using bioroid technology. These clones were called Combat Purpose Bioroid Prototypes. The three bioroid-clones were named B1 (appearing about 20-years in age), B2 (appearing about 15-years in age), and B3 (appearing about 10-years in age) with "B" standing for "bioroid" (duh! ^_^).

Why the ancients decided to do this is not revealed in the doujinshi (this is one of the items K-sensei states is explored in the novels), though he does state it was a military thing. The doujinshi also does not say how the ancients captured Washu, but she was sealed within a facility the size of a planet (Washu was in giant form). I can't help but think she allowed herself to be captured as part of her role in finding the higher kami.

As noted in the images above, each bioroid-clone was given one of Washu's gems -- B1 was given a gem in her neck, B2 was given one in her right wrist, and B3 was given one in the chest. Why B3 was given one in the chest rather than in her left wrist is unknown. However it is believed that due to this, B3 was able to escape from the control of the ancients. After her escape, B3 met and became friends with a young boy.

Since the bioroids were created as a military weapon, the ancients completed whatever data collection they required and dispatched B1 and B2 to destroy B3. However, there were foreign ancient civilizations who wanted the bioroid technology secrets, thus a great interstellar war breaks out. Most of the battles are between the bioroids causing the destruction of cities, entire planets, and possibly whole star systems. This resulted in the downfall of many of the ancient civilizations.

At the end of the war, B3 manages to defeat B2, but is nearly dead herself. B1 takes advantage of this and annihilates her, taking B2 and B3's gems. She then decides to take the original gem (1), and to do this, she returns to slay Washu.

However, B3's dying agony scream awakened Tsunami from slumber. She appears on the scene to save Washu and slays B1. Those who witnessed Tsunami's appearance became the founders of the precursor civilization. Tsunami departs, leaving Washu sealed within the facility. Why she did not release Washu is not revealed to us.

Washu remains sealed for at least 100-million years (actual time is being double-checked). As the seal begins to deteriorate with time, Washu begins to wake up. She was apparently 10,000 kilometers tall and as she woke up, her changed her appearance to that of a child (howbeit a giant child) to attempt gain control of her faculty by regressing to the size of a human child. It had no effect and she is unable to shrink herself down.

Washu takes back the gems from the body of B1, and is finally able to stabilize herself. She returns to human size and for a time is seen wearing clothing similar to those she wears on the cover of the novel Washu.

It is sometime after freeing herself that Washu embarks on the plan to erase her memories and convert her 3rd-dimension body into that of an infant. That event happened a little over 20,000-years ago and the events after that are described in the novel Washu.

So there you have the story of Washu and the bioroids. If you happen to have any additional information, we'd love to hear it.

Interesting info indeed, though it doesn't seem to quite fit the stuff from ep11, at least from the bits of the history lesson that I understood. Though who knows what further plot twists and revelations we'll get thrown at us in the final episodes.

It's sad that this series didn't garner more community interest (Heh, I think I've said that before). Given the background setting and possibilities, this series had as much potential for discussions and speculation as, say, Darker than Black. Rich history, a plot with both foreshadowing and red herrings, various factions with initially undisclosed agendas, mystery characters, characters with personalities worth analyzing, surprise twists, it was all there, ready to be discussed to death. Now it's almost over and everyone who takes an interest in it can just watch everything in one go.

I've seen the raw for EP 13 pretty good all round and left it wide open for another series, the only thing that disappointed me about the series is no guest appearances from any of the main Tenchi cast other than that it's been one of the most enjoyable anime series i've watched in a number of years.

Kenchi finally uses a light hawk wing in this EP proving he's probably every bit as powerful as his brother.

Overall this series has been great fun for me. It had a bit of everything and did most of those things well. Of course there's stuff I could nitpick and that I think could have been done better, but Isekai has been one of the few series I truly enjoyed throughout and that didn't let my expectations down somewhere along the line, compared to some other series that aired during it's 1-year run. Your mileage may vary, but as a fan of those old series like Tenchi, El-Hazard, Dual or Photon, I was more than pleased with what I got.

I love the Tenchi Muyo series and I really liked this series too! Looks forward to it every month... eagerly awaited for the release of each episode. Maybe my hopes and expectation for the last episode was a little too much; I felt very disappointed, or rather dissatisfied, with the final ending. Well, hopefully there will be some special later or more stuff related to Tenchi Muyo in the future....

I don't know I liked the ending I think it fitted the series well and left things open for another series, the only thing that disappointed me was no one like Ryoko or Tenchi turning up looking for Kenchi but that could be left for another series.

looking? I'm quite confused on episode 12 which much answer most question so I can't say much. But I hope tenchi shows up if their will be another series but heck the final episode leave me hanging on the tip of my sit. I didn't expect too much but I get too much I don't know about the others but the final battle is OKAY!!!! for me plus the final attack is epic. I wish too see another series and get to see him make those moves more yeh!

The last attack was a Light hawk wing if you noticed there was the same mark on Kenchi's forhead as Tenchi's when he used the Light hawk wings against Kagato.

I heard of a harem end but OMG an entire school's worth. Seems like every series the harem end gets bigger and bigger. Go kenshin maybe he should give up running and get caught might be interesting for him.

The way I see it, as long Kajishima still has plans for Kenshi to do some heroics as the main character, he can't let the Tenchi Muyo cast join or even visit him. Most of the TM cast is on a different power scale than he is, probably more so since the last time we saw them at the end of OAV3, so whoever shows up would steal Kenshi's thunder, so to speak. What I could see happening though, would be to see some updates on what the Tenchi cast has been up to, in the form of some flashbacks Kenshi could have from his childhood.

Furthermore, from an In-Story POV there's still the question whether any of the old cast would want to visit Kenshi in the first place. Going by the "observers" at the beginning and the end of the story, it seems Kenshi was stranded on Geminar intentionally to have him develop on his own in some way, so a visit from big bro or his aunties might be counter-effective to that goal.

Anyways, I really hope we'll get some sequel or bonus episodes for Isekai no Seikishi. This new setting has been tons of fun and I think there's still some good stories left to tell and ancient secrets left to uncover on that world. Not to mention that the ending left sufficient plot hooks to have a continuation fit seamlessly.
