I always scratch my head at how J.C. can make these brilliant parody shorts from the same abysmal series they themselves cranked out earlier...Bet if they had gone with an Louise-tan series I wouldof laughed my ass off at it aswell.
Mah...Enjoyed it throughly either way. Fingers crossed they don't screw up railgun eh?

In my book, J.C.Staff is currently in my top tier of studios when it comes to making proper conversions. |

1. Zero no Tsukaima <--An absolute disaster 2. Shana 2nd <--Konoe? Index suffered in the novels too, but the anime did some rather meaningless/bad changes, like adding Index's appearance time only to remove Kanzaki's past, changing the last scene with Hyouka to the top of some building (that was hilariously dangerous), and completely ignoring two sub-boss like characters.. Though compared to the above two shows, it's nothing...

Personally never read any of the source material on Zero, this or shana so my opinions are based squarely on something being enjoyable in its own right not how true to the material or whatever reason people come up with to dislike something.
But like S_B said I don't necessarily hate everything J.C. makes Mentar ,and I apologize if it came off like that, as I like all the ones you listed, but you have to admit that you listed as good examples aren't in the same genre as what I presume railgun is going to be. That falls more into the category of ToAru and Shana (S1 was fine S2 was...) which makes me worried more then anything... Best way I can phrase it is I'm enjoying Aoi Hana and look forward to more, but if you asked me about something J.C. was making in the action genre I'd get alittle more weary.

For what it's worth, the studio must have a stellar industry reputation to keep working on IPs like Index, Toradora!, Nodame Cantabile, and Hayate. Quote:

I don't have that much to complain when it comes to J.C staff I like their works.. well mostly
due to animation which I think their are the best. But when it comes to the story part. They either screw up or did a phenomenal job. I don't know on which to blame. Blame the source or the one that's making the anime. But it all comes down to it. I still like their work. (Hoping they won't screw up) btw I hate the way they end zero no tsukaima s2. They should just end it with saito dead. |

What exactly are they mumbling in the purikura booth?
And is that Louise? That mysterious being with pink hair that is. When I see J.C. Staff I'm usually confident the production should be pretty decent. They've been pretty busy nowadays.
