This premiere reinforce my growing belief that the entire continent of Westeros should just be run over by the Winter King. Only Brienne, Podrick, Sansa and Not-So-Quite-Reek are my little glimmers of hope for this screwed up continent. And Danny? Hahahahahahahahahaha oh wow!

Decent first episode. There were some non starters (the Dorne plot line reeks of the producers and the writers just saying "fuck it, kill them all"), and other stories were to brief (I'm looking at you Arya...not that you can see my stare right now). But overall it was a lot of fun. I will say I found the Jon Snow storyline quite a bit of fun. It was the epitome of silliness, what with a dead body taking up so much space in the story, but damn if it wasn't consistent with a strong through line.

I like the Sansa/Theon/Brienne storyline, but I really hate what they've done to the Sand Snakes and the Dorne storyline in the show. As for the King's Landing side of things, I'm still hoping that they are going to do the Jaime's Riverlands storyline, it was one of the best scenarios from the books and it was what ended up redeeming his character for me..

the premier did what a premier was supposed to do. it reminded viewers of all the plot lines this season is going to cover. it also left one glaring cliffhanger unanswered.. haha. but i'm sure they'll get around to it in 4 or 5 episodes.

There's a standoff between Nightwatch brothers loyal to Jon and Throne. Sansa and Theon are saved by Brienne and Podrick from Bolton soldiers while the Boltons now has to face the Lannisters for betraying them. And we see what Melisandre really looks like. __________________
