All I'll say for now is this:
No SorataxMashiro kiss????!!! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! Man, when the novels end, they'd better do better than that.

Wow, what a great end to a great series. This series was really heartwarming and a great slice of life style series. It had a good storyline with great characters that grow on you. The additional residents to Sakurasou seems to be a lot of fun as well. I love how Mashiro told Yuuko that there was not any room for her in the Sakurasou painting. I guess she will not be moving in.
Now, I'm a little sad that we might not get a second season because of all the racists making negative comments on Sakurasou's merchandise. It really is a pity, since this was such a great show. It's unfortunate that this is the world we live in. Either way, I'm glad to have watched this series, and I'm putting this anime in my good enough to recommend and rewatch list.

Spoiler for The form:
Well, my enthusiasm for Sakurasou has been up and down substantially over the run of the series, but I can say that after I got past the first two episodes, I never once regretted picking it up. The show was always at its best when it was exploring how the world can really chew people up, whether they're painfully ordinary, or gifted to the point of isolation. The ending feels natural, and like a good stopping place. I'm not clamoring for more, but it would be easy to continue from here if they wanted to. Tragically, we now have one more would-be resident than there are rooms. It looks like there's no choice but to implement Spoiler for Don't click, you already know what's in here:

It's been commented quite a few times throughout the threads. There was a korean type of dish that done in one of the early episodes. That created quite an uproar with the Japanese otakus. They started saying that the series was "selling out" to the Koreans and started posting negative comments on websites like Amazon Japan. The initial sales were good, but subsequent sales were down after this whole hoopla.

Good final episode, I liked it.
I know some really hate it, but I enjoy it when an anime like this type ends with things going full circle. New residents moving in, and everyone's role getting upgraded, ect. When its done right, I'm a sucker for it. Even though it can rather easy and safe to write in. Liked the new residents, very green. Especially the guy lol. Yuuko popping in was funny too, man is she short for her age. Hikaru the cat kissblocks Shiina and Kanda. Poor Aoyoma, well Jin did say she doesn't have to give up. Misaka turning in the marriage registration early was great.

There were some ups and downs but good slice-of-life shows are inspiring and are remembered as easy-going-fun. Despite Jin going his separate way, Rita going back to her country and so forth, the bonds of Sakurasou seem strong enough to handle anything. New characters are introduced, Chihiro-sensei runs into Kazuki as they share a drink, Sorata's cat blocks but also saves Sorata in the same action - you can go on and on.
This was a good ending. It feels conclusive but all the strings are not completely tied, giving you a somewhat open ended feeling as well. Things could continue but if they do not, the ending is sincerely satisfying. I wish Aoyama the best, keep fighting. Dragon is due to coming out of his room/comfort zone more seems more social than ever and Mashiro is still Mashiro. Good times. |

Solid final episode that wraps up everything nicely. I had a lot of fun watching the anime even though the drama is a bit unnecessary at times. I like the liveliness of the group and they're entertaining as well as interesting to watch.
Good times and hope to see more from this in the future.

I really liked the ending, but it did seem like they took the easy way out. Plus, from what I've heard about the Light Novel, haven't they changed quite a few things that would probably limit the ability for a second season to ever be produced anyway?
It seems to me that this means the series is finished for good. Which is cool I guess, the ending gave a satisfactory "complete" feeling. But come on, a cat kiss block? That was ridiculous. If this really is last we'll ever see of Sakurasou couldn't they have let the two of them have one single damn kiss?! Gah. Regardless I liked the series as a whole and I'll miss it. |

Great move by Rita. Best way to get into that relationship with Dragon is to also seduce Meido-chan !
All in all a pretty good conclusion. It wasn't anything outstanding and seemed to take the safe route. Relationship wise kind of go with a Mashiro ending while still leaving it open for Nanami fans to speculate a better end for her? Hopefully this kind of ending does leave it possibly open to continue with the remaining novels down the road. Would be great to come back with this series. Overall though this series blew my expectations out of the water. It was a lot more engaging and just plain better than I ever expected. Went far beyond just being some generic love comedy.
