RPG game Conception: Ore no Kodomo o Undekure! (Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child!) is getting anime adaptation by studio Gonzo for Fall 2018.

The story of the game revolves around Itsuki Yūge, a high school student who finds out on the day of his graduation ceremony that his cousin and childhood friend Mahiru is pregnant. Immediately afterward, Itsuki and Mahiru are taken to a magical world called Granvania, which is currently being invaded by monsters. The only people who can fight and exorcise the monsters are the "star children," and the star children can only be produced by the 12 "shrine maidens of the constellations." In order to defeat the monsters and return to his own world, Itsuki must father the star children with the maidens.

I don't have much of a clue on conception 1 but I played 2 in vita. Cute series but that is only 7 girls. here, its 12.

That sounds like the kind of premise you'd make up to make anime look stupid to people who don't know anything about anime.

Yeah the premise sounds silly and I'm sure that's not even how it should be.

To make it clear it's a mix of Pokemon with Persona, the children are summoned beasts, the " mothers" are the co-summoners.

"Why now" is the question. I played the first game and it was unremarkable. I don't know who this adaptation of an ancient (by modern standards) game is made for. It's not fresh and exciting and it's not that lewd either.

Wonder that,the sequel was barely better but still fun trash at the time.

Got to agree with Haak, plot sounds sort of like something I would expect out of hentai.

Gonzo made a genius work with Akiba's Trip. Maybe, just maybe, they will go semi-original on this one and cook some good food with the mediocre material.

This is strange. The game came out in 2012 and wasn't particularly successful by any margin, iirc. There no new entry or re-release announced(yet) that an adaption would be promoting either. Maybe there will be, eventually, but it's an odd choice for revival.

One thing I must know before deciding how to proceed with this: is the childhood friend really pregnant? Feel free to PM since I'm sure this falls into the realm of major spoilers. I'm not completely opposed to a harem/dating sim type story with a girl who's had a boyfriend or even been sexually active, but if she's actually just recently become pregnant, I can't help but wonder just how they're going to pull off making her a "heroine" that the standard audience will take interest in. Without extremely tragic and sensitive subject material, this creates prior relationships much too strong and recent for new romance. I'd find it much more likely for her to have lied for some reason or just thought that she was for some reason.

The whole making children is a game mechanic that produce your combat unit.

Thx. I had my suspicions. Seemed like it'd be hard to set up a girl as a romantic interest right after declaring her pregnant. Only way I thought they could pull if off is if it wasn't consensual, and frankly I doubt there's any non-eroge companies out there with the guts to make a heroine with that kind of backstory, much less the necessary materials and people to actually do it well.

Must admit, the visual is not entirely inspiring. I felt like the story concept was interesting, but the art feels a little lacking.
