Here's what I think.

When Sasuke learned the monster knows Uchiha Madara,
he immediately concluded the monster must be the Nine-Tails!

We know about one person who tangled with the Nine-Tails before...

Yes, the Yondaime Hokage! His name is obviously Uchiha Madara!

The way i see it, Uchiha Madara is related to the origin of the uchiha clan and the origins of the sharigan. (making him much older then yondiame)

Uchiha Madara was either a human who got his bloodline messed up by a demon or by commiting some kind of grave forbidden act that got his bloodline cursed... or he was a demon (unrelated to the tailed demons) who had an eventful run in with the poeple that would one day become the uchiha clan (was killed by them, merged with them, made love to one of them, etc), and resulted in cursing their bloodline

in both cases the humans that would become the uchiha clan were possibly originally members of the huuyga clan, since the sharigan is said to be an off shoot of the bakuydon...

He concluded it's ninetails after it spoke about Sharingan not about U. M.. So it would make more sense that something about ninetails was written on the hidden scrolls in the Uchiha temple.

Whoever Uchiha Madara is, it was clear that Sasuke had never heard the name before, thus he can't possibly have made of connection to kyuubi from that name alone.

madara wtf it is wrong, if im correct, the nine tail fox appeared and started havoc, and teh village probaly counter attacked them, therefor there was no way the person mentioned had any connection with the fox, if he had he was either killed or killed the demon fox, therefor yondaime would not be killed or killed the demon fox, i dont think there was a relationship b4 hand with the fox.

the legend of the demon fox says he periodically appeared and cause mass destruction like a force of nature. Why do yall act like the demon fox only ever appeared once? It could be from any incarnation that he is refering to the dude. do yall really think the demon fix came into existence like teh day before naruto was born?

yeah i assume the fox has lived for hundreds of years. most of the giant animals, such as gamabunta, hold a vast knowledge of past ninja, villages and even monsters. i'm sure the sharingan has some connection with the bijuu, but so far we have very little to work on.
i do hope though [random spoilers] that the jinchuriki girl running away from the two new akatsuki will be a recurrent character in the series.

Wow that was a long story

I read most of it...and i must say...

It is very creative ofcourse but come on....Yondaime is definetly NOT an Uchiha.
Also from that picture...Itachi was just fast...so was Sasuke...they cant teleport.

It's probably that there was a mere Hyuuga which was highly cursed by others and the own clan.

They threw him or dumped him out of Konoha....and made a pact with the Kyuubi
transforming himself (with evil Kyuubi chakra) to a new being...and from Hyuuga Madara he became....Uchiha (new clan) Madara. And probably he betrayed the Kyuubi...and that's why even the Kyuubi calls the clan a cursed bloodline.

Since it was Shodai Hokage who UNITED the Clans and founded Konoha.
These Clans were before Konoha scattered ninja clans all over the Fire Country.

Just another theory...

But Yondaime was a mere guy without special traits...(except without possibly a special type of chakra...one which can stand up to the Kyuubi's chakra)
My guess is that the 4th didnt chose a random kid...probably his own son or blood related family,clan member

i hate to say it but YF's theory is interesting, if naruto turns out to be an uchiha and somehow gains a sharingan (thatd be akward!... Hey Kakashi i think there's somtin wrong with my eyes!) that'd be a very crazy twist

Yeah that would be very awesome. Next Sasuke is going to have Kabuto help him manufacture a virus that spreads Uchiha DNA throughout Konoha, and then they'll all develop Sharingan! That's obviously what he was talking about when he mentioned reviving his clan.

How could you possibly think that the Hokage title was given to ANY of the clans in Konoha? It'd create too much conflict between the clans.

I think thats why Itachi was tired of the clan and Konoha, he wasn't allowed to become hokage so he left.
