But what I want to hear is Tsuduru Omoi. But what I am really looking forward to is how they deal with the sudden changes in Opening and Closing Chapters.

I've had to hide multiple pages worth of posts because they're completely littered with game spoilers, and our Spoiler Policy is quite clear that no spoilers are allowed in anime threads (even behind spoiler tags). I may restore some of the posts after I have the chance to sort through them all in detail. I'd ask in the meantime that all the game players please create a game thread where this sort of discussion can continue.

Anyway, it's hidden for the moment until I can go through it.

btw, listen to WA2's OST again today and once again realize how much better WA2's bgm is compared with WA1's despite its inferior vocal songs (or singers?). My favorite track is "Kotoba dekinai omoi", the most emotional bgm in WA2 imo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAHYTrRxJPA |

When was the last time Hitomi Nabatame (Kazusa's seiyuu) had a starring role? It'll be great to hear her as a main character in this series--too bad she doesn't sing.
And I'm glad that Madoka Yonezawa's fortunes have improved, from being a supporting character in K-ON! to a main character in a series that also gets to showcase her singing talents. Still a mystery why she signed on for the original eroge though, given how much of a career liability that seems to be for female seiyuus in Japan . . . |

oh really?
I had the impression that a lot of seiyuu are doing eroge roles. Albeit under an alias The best recent example I can think of is this game http://www.eukleia.co.jp/eushully/eu14/eu14_des.html Star cast there.. all under aliases. and before this, there was Majikoi I don't think otaku really care about "2D" shenanigans. I think they only make a huge deal if the seiyuu is caught having a real boyfriend, and if that seiyuu is also an idol. Also, didn't Kuribayashi Minami get her big start by voicing Suzumiya Haruka from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien? edit: http://www.kenproduction.co.jp/member.php?mem=w42 This site says that Nabatame Hitomi's most recent major role is Cure Heart from Doki Doki Precure. (Precure is a huge franchise)

You are severly exaggerating to call this a "star cast", because the only 3 noticable seiyuu's are Miki Shinichiro , Wakamoto Norio and Touma Yumi and all of these seiyuu don't even do that much voicework these days. Also neither of these 3 seiyuu's regularly voices for eroges. And eventhough i have heard of most of the regular "eroge seiyuu cast" from this game, i don't even think this is a star seiyuu cast under eroge standards, because the only few "famous" ones are "Kitami Rikka" and "Kawashima Rino" and atmost a few more. |

You won't find super-famous seiyuu like Nana Mizuki or Yoko Hikasa caught dead voicing eroge or H-OVAs. And just look at how much flak the otakus give seiyuu who prove "less than pure," like Aya Hirano, or Aki Toyosaki who was confirmed to be living with her boyfriend Tom H@ck, or even Ayana Taketatsu who was spotted with a man (the otakus didn't even confirm the man's relationship, if any, to her before heaping abuse on her reputation). The most famous female seiyuus in Majikoi who have to make (censored) noises are Yuu Asakawa and Shizuka Itou, and they still have to publicly deny ever acting in the 18+ versions. A damn shame, considering they're only using their voices--they're not pornographic actresses by any means. Quote:
The situation for eroge voice actresses is normally much bleaker. Look at Ryouko Tanaka (AKA "Hikaru Isshiki") and Harumi Sakurai (AKA "Kazane"), who starred alongside each other and Ami Koshimizu for H2O: Footprints in the Sand. Tanaka's and Sakurai's acting abilities are beyond reproach (especially the latter's who starred as Yurippe in Angel Beats!), and yet they've hardly appeared in anime outside of 18+ OVAs and eroge adaptations. It's a crying shame. I stand corrected. Still, White Album 2 will be a nice new opportunity for Hitomi Nabatame to use her deeper voice rather than her cutesy high-pitched voice. If I had to choose between the two main heroines, I'd have to say I'm a fan of Kazusa. |

but, there's also Mizuhashi Kaori doing this http://www.eukleia.co.jp/eushully/eu...eu14_ch04.html and Keiji Fujiwara doing this http://www.eukleia.co.jp/eushully/eu...eu14_ch11.html and I think there's Eri Kitamura in there somewhere

Mizuhashi Kaori is "more well-known", eventhough personally i don't think she should be listed as "famous" especially next to the 4 seiyuu's who were mentioned earlier. I don't think i have heard KitaEri among any characters and i doubt she is doing any roles for eroges because she is popular enough to get regular anime roles edit: because this doesn't deserve it's own post Why are we almost going almost off topic with this ? The talk about how famous seiyuu's are is fairly pointless because White album 2 doesn't even have that well-known seiyuu's in it. Last edited by hyl; 2013-04-16 at 17:53. |

And Nana Mizuki has done at least one semi lewd scene. You can find it on nico nico douga. Quote:

But anyway, yes, I know there is a certain line female performers must not cross. It's unfair like that. And this is basically the premise behind the first White Album and the recent arc in Bakuman. But to my knowledge it only applies to things they do in real life. I'm not sure.

It is more about the fact that you are appearing in 18+ game rather than what role you do in that game. |

But I think the shame that seiyuus get for making (censored) noises is just stupid. Quote:

In any case, I do hope that Madoka Yonezawa and Yoriko Nagata (Setsuna's and Koharu's seiyuus in WA2, respectively) don't get too much flak from having had to make (censored) noises for the original game, and that their fortunes will improve after the entire WA2 anime has aired. |
