lol, ippo became superhuman

but in any case, i once had such weights, and i can only agree, what ippo does is really impressive...

anyway, seems like ippos training will begin and he will finish his new demsey roll at some point too,
cant wait to get this manga finished, maybe i will reread the entire story again at some point

ippo finally gets back on track, took him 20 chapters or so

he still didnt cross the line :/

anyway, the matches ended, the one with black hair got a draw, the comedy-relief guy got his JSF (or so) title i think and the youngest of them got a win by decision,

im quite interested in how the world will react once ippo puts out his Dempsey Role 2.0

but before that there will be training, talking etc,
so at most we all just need to wait until ch1200 before seeing DP2.0

and than 30 more chapters until the rematch with the #2, that fight will last 50-70 chapters, than he wins,
than 40 chapters talking and 60 chapters for the fight against the #1,

so the series ends with 1400 chapters

OR ippo loses and the story keeps going with another 100 chapters where ippo tries to do stuff and with a 100 chapter long fight we finally get the final at chapter 1600

(so just 4.5-8.5 years XD)

I'm currently under the impression that Ippo won't fight #2 again, and instead Sendo will.

This manga is getting so good. I know it's long but it really uses it's time to flesh out all the characters. The cast is beyond perfect, and the character relations are so fun to watch over the years.
There are so many great moments, even beyond the ring. I remember Ippo mentioned something about how he was satisfied with being Japanese champion, and that he wasn't really pushing himself to go further, which retroactively put a lot of the Pacific champion fights into perspective. Then there was the whole

arc, which seemed like a pointless waste of 100+ chapters, but it was actually used to show how all the gym mates have been changed due to their constant matches.

I hope this series goes goes on for another decade, always enjoyable to read.

I dont know whats gonna happen after this and maybe its related to the author's health that it lead to this "conclusion" but I agree that he should end this manga..

not going to joke around, I agree with most of the comment on Twitter, if that was the ending of the manga, then it's just painful. Don't worth it

P.S: is this the full manga ending ?????? I don't see any confirmation or sign in the chapter.

Seriously, what a complete waste of time.

Supposedly the story is going to continue (no source on this, though) but this is just insulting on Morikawa's part largely due to how unnecessarily dragged out this whole phase was.

If Morikawa just can't continue drawing, that's one thing; painful, but at least I could understand. But if he's continuing this, its just bad story-writing; entire sections of the story have become a waste of time.

I read up to raws...Well so the manga is ending? In Ashita No Joe, Joe won the title but died. There Ippo didn't die at least.

In a moment, this is opportunity for author to time skip. There is literally over 1000 chapter now, it is time for author to wrap up Ippo to next generation.
Honestly, at this point i don't care for Ippo career being world champ, all i want to see Ippo get married and has a child then 10 years later he return to boxing match, back to ring. Defeat all champs, defeat Takamura and die.
Then Ippo son will continue his legacy, that is perfect ending for Ippo.
