Minus the fact he's been off fighting something for the past several days. We'll find out what's going on in the next story arc, with lots of Mayoi & Shinobu involved. (I don't know the details, just that they happen at the same time) |

He chose the right one. As great as Hanekawa has been, her biggest flaw is that she wallows in self-pity a bit too often which triggers her stress level to jump to code neko, or code tora within a short span of time. Plus, now that we are familiar with Mrs. Araragi to a certain degree, it's easy for me to see who Koyomi took after and why he would prefer a personality like Senjougahara-san.

- Kagenui is a monster in her own right. - According to Kagenui, Araragi seemingly had no intent of fighting her For me, I suspect he suffers from the fetish called I-like-me-a-good-beating-from-hawt-women. The tiger had manly voice, so obviously it had no chance against Koyomi. Things probably would have been different if it had sports-bra along with a cute female voice.

WOW. I cheated, but I ended up wiping away the tear on my eyes. I can't say anything right now. It's just too perfect. ;_; IIRC, URA was the one who also made the opening sequence for "perfect slumbers", right? EDIT: SQA,

Aww, that .gif is adorable. It's a shame that no character has ever been able to defeat the Designated Main Heroine trope except for Shuffle.
For the above posts discussing Araragi's feelings for the girls... From reading the books, Araragi was never in love with Hitagi from the start. He kind of just went with it when she asked him out (since it was the first time he had ever been confessed to), although he really did fall in love with her later on (around episode 12 in Bake). As for Hanekawa, it's really complicated....I had to ask one of my friends studying literature in Kyoto how to interpret the books, since Nisio Isin writes things in a really roundabout way. Basically, after Kizu, he wasn't sure if he had a crush on her or not, since she was the first outside girl that he ever really valued. During the later part of Neko: Kuro, he realizes that his feelings have already exceeded love, and that he actually wants to die for her. And then, at the end of the last fight, he says-- "It's all right, Hanekawa. We are not altogether up to scratch, but...... we are supremely unhappy, absurdly unappreciated, broken beyond all repair, but...... we'll be like this our whole life, but it's all right!" Released by the vampire little girl, Hanekawa had completely turned back as before, and while lying down as if sleeping, still in her underwear. "No way that's all right." She said, as if she was having a nightmare. Ah. You are right. You are always right. This is when he realizes he can never be with her, because she could never accept him with all his faults--she wants everything to be beautiful, untainted, perfect. And this is why at the end he says he had his heart broken for the very first time. Ironically, this is the very thing she overcomes now, but it's too late. Really sad....if she had realized this in Kuro then she probably would have ended up with Araragi and maybe wouldn't have had to go through so many issues later on. :/ [That was super long, sorry!! /text wall] Last edited by miaou5; 2013-08-05 at 07:33. |

Excellent... would be an understatement. I just hope Nadeko's, Shinobu's and Mayoi's stories live up to the hype... this was the best arc of the series, and I'm going straight to the novel for more... Oh! and unfortunately the internet (and the author's foreshadowing) lied to me... there is no self-discovery trip afterall, just another try with that crappy family, and friend-zoning Bakaragi
Poor Tsubasa, I want to tell her that everything will work out, but we know very well that it won't, since her "oddities" were always right, despite how much she consciously wanted to rationalize their (actually, her's) anxieties away PS: A slight complaint, despite being spoiler-ish, they should have Horie Yui (Tsubasa's VA) voice the tiger too... the climax felt a little disjoint, like the tiger was not really Tsubasa's frustration, but rather a thing that Bakaragi could stub to save the a helpless girl and then abandon her for a stupid chick, which I hope was not the case in the original novel |

Both sugar sweet nightmare and perfect slumbers allude to her travel around the world.
The letter sequence (which had its own staff) just expanded things vastly. It's kinda sad seeing how she'd struggle during her trip, running out of money, wandering around and ending up hitchhiking her way across America.

What man would survive trying to hurt or rape her while she is hitchhiking... just think of how badly he would die ? |
