With this I'm Invincible!

Haha just read this.
I KNEW the art was familiar. I thought the village secret would be darker and he'd be fighting some epic cosmic horror, but this was like "hey, lemme show you something go--OH HAY GIRLS MEET YOUR SHOUNEN MALE LEAD AHHAHA" but he gets massive points for being strong willed and kind.

T_T I wish I could read japanese. If i could, I could save SO MUCH MONEY by writing letter's to my grandmother and send her money for manga. XD Actually...I really don't think she'd mind just GIVING them to me if I was able to write her a letter asking for them v.v (i really need to learn how to write, my grandmother said she'd try and send anything I asked for over here, meaning I could probably ask for a couple books here or there....damnit this sucks)

Just finished reading the latest scanlation of Ch 21. Not as fun as the last chapter, but probably because Soyogi still needs some more development, so I have not warmed up to her yet.
Still, it continues to be a good series, and I look forward to the next chapter!

Well, I do recall them saying that they would "take turns" taking care of him, unless it's just a "coincidence"(in other words, the author ) that they're alternating. I guess it's for the best, since the relationships can stay relatively balanced(referring moreso in terms of time).
I was just surprised how quickly he broke Soyagi in. I was expecting to take at least another 2 chapters/times before that happened. |

As for Soyogi... if that's not deserving of a red card, I don't know what is.
She never had much of a chance to start with and that little incident surely obliterated what small chance she did have. Now it's Shizuku's turn to self-destruct; if she hasn't already - a shame, really, considering she took the early lead in the Nagi sweepstakes, only to fall behind thanks to her ice queen act. Karin looks like the odds-on favorite at this point and the contest is really hers to lose. Last edited by DanielSong39; 2008-08-13 at 23:57. |

So I just got into this series.
Did someone point out the people from Ai Yori Aoshi (In Looks) Karin - Aoi Chan Shizuku - Mayu Soyogi - Miyabi Sensei - Tina Miyabi and Tina have kept their personalities, but Shizuku=Miyabi x Aoi and Karin = Aoi x Tina (Sorta, since Tina wasn't all that self conscious) And following AYA I'm sure that Spoiler:

Ugh why did I read the spoiler for chapter 32 Been careful to not open the next ones.
Probably still long till it gets translated to that point Quote:
O_o let my fantasy a bit loose there ... Ahem ... soo My opinion of Umi no Misaki: Very nice drawing style. Especially scenes of the sea look very pretty and when reading on, every phew pages amaze me. At some scenes, I'm wondering if the background isn't a real picture. The art of the surroundings give off a very realistic feeling and draw myself into the manga, so I can almost grasp the atmosphere at moments. Does the place really exist? Maybe I should go for a visit when I go to Japan once in a while Also the girls are drawn pretty nice of course The main protagonist isn't some clueless nerdy guy. He knows what he has gotten into and reacts to that. He isn't clumsy, knows how to cook and can interpret the other girls thoughts. Those are already some major difference from a lot of classic harem manga's, which is very good imho. What I don't understand, is why Shimuzu acted so cold the second time that Nagi met her at the school. Was it because she was in presence of the other students and felt embarrassed that they'd know that she already had fun fun with Nagi? Since she softened pretty fast after that, I thought she acted weird there. To act a bit distant should have been ok since it's the tradition and all, but deny she knew him goes a bit far isn't it?... The only thing what bothers me every time, is the constant big blush of the little girl who calls him niinii. It doesn't really matter though but it's annoying to notice it every time she gets in the picture... though that's only a minor detail. Imho this is one of the better romance manga's that are in progress atm. Looking forward to translation of v03 a lot! Oh I'm rooting for Shizuru btw, usually like the sweet long haired girls (for example Honoka from Suzuka). Though it looks like Karin will be the one, I only read 2 volumes, 22 chapters so far, so Shizuru's turn still has to come, and usually best things are saved for last and anything can happen |
