Fuck, looks like they took those censorship complaints way too seriously.

Um, they're using the novels as source materials.

Going by the LN covers, he looks like your typical evil bishie. With long white hair so you KNOW he's evil. Sephiroth, only more generic. The manga and anime are both improvements, though the anime is more faithful. At least to the LN designs. Don't know what he looks like in the novel, if he even got an illustration.

Still, one thing I'm glad about is that they at least didn't go with the light novel clothing designs for the Imperials. Piņa co Brittania I could do without, thankyouverymuch.

seriously, the part with our red haired fujoshi princess's apparently douchebag looking brother looks like it was ripped from a hentai, that poor rabbit girl, at least he's not racist,
so in that world, earthquakes were like rare? in all different regions of that planet? well its an alien planet where magic is normal, so it does not have to be like earth,

continuing the Fate/Stay Night reference jokes from the first cour, i think its sort of funny that Itami's seiyuu also voiced Archer from the anime series & he's talking to his sniper comrade whom is code named........ Archer .

on an off-topic note, i feel sad because i managed to confuse this with the second cour of Heavy Object that is currently airing side by side with this series, when i was watching the latest H.O. episode i was like "hey where did Itami go?" until i realized those weren't JSDF soldiers & uh.......... giant mech.........

Why do you assume Empire knows about whole planet? There are on medieval level, so there may have knowledge about one large continent or some more.

Dude saying Zorzal isn't racist is like saying Rance doesn't discriminate as long they are female.

While Japan is handling international pressure the Empire would likely have a face off between the throne and the senate.

On the earthquake yeah animal acting weird before a quake happens. I experience it myself in 1991. Good thing my private school had a holiday on account of the director's birthday or we would've had casualties.

Our dogs and neighbors were howling hour before the quake struck.

You know, Zorzal has a smoking body.
Too bad he won't wins some female fans due to him being a rapist.
Speaking of the rape scene, at least the anime didn't show the whole thing and just block what we are seeing with the bed curtains.
I'm kinda glad that the crime boss died but not his family.

To be honest, how are they NOT suppose to be awesome when they have Vietnam-era technology vs. Roman Empire/Mediveal Europe tech?

Same here. I would put USA, EU, Russia, China and Israel into the mix ( multiple GATE's opened all across capital cities of Earth ). Throw in a nuke or two and viola

I wish I am as optimistic as you are about human nature. He will have female fans, without question. Why not? Plenty of anime serial killers and violent psychopathic warlords have female fans, Zorzal is small fry compared to those.

There is one scene that is a little confusing to me. When Pina and the senators were meeting with Itami, Sugawara negotiated 500 million swani for the peace offering and Pina mentioned that all the gold in the empire won't cover that. Why did Pina grab onto Itami and ask him to forgive her? I just don't understand that reaction. I can understand if she went crazy and say it is impossible, but why ask for forgiveness? Also, why to Itami, since he has no bearing on the negotiations, which are headed by Sugawara?

Other than that, I love the episode. It was back to its fun and interesting story telling. I really like this series.

Pina is begging for forgiveness concerning the incident with Itami being assaulted after that little treaty was signed. She was thinking that Itami might have held a grudge and used that information against her at a later date. This had been terrifying her for weeks, had it been the Empire, they would have used that pretence for more war. She knows what the Empire does with blackmail like that and was not looking forward to tasting her nation's own medicine.

So what you are saying is that Pina is begging for forgiveness because she believes the insane amount asked for in retribution negotiations is directly tied to Itami having a grudge with her? And that if Itami forgives her, somehow the amount negotiated will become reasonable? It's still a strange sequence, since Itami should have no bearing on negotiations.

She doesn't know that though. Honestly a lot of natives in the empire tend to view Itami as being more important and amazing than he actually is.

It's rather sad they left out the reason why the Japanese were demanding 500 Million Suwani in the first place as the amount: Basically, the Japanese just converted the annual budget of the their government into the local currently equivalent, and used that as the basis for the figure. They wouldn't know that the Empire wouldn't have that amount of money on them.

Those old politicians was it, came to watch how SDF demonstrating their world's current century weapons and imagined themselves if their countries fought with them they will be completely destoryed in the matter of seconds.

Actually I also rather feel its terror too, since I'm just an ordinary person, if I also saw the same thing the weapons demonstrations myself, I would imagine myself the backgrounds around me being demolished knowing and not knowing what will happen to me.

I wonder if that's how the real life people from the past also thinking about the same thing, having no choice what so ever to be bow down to a gigantic power from the different world or timeline in front of them or throw down their lives fighting against it and dying?

But, in this case those old folks should be relieved that those kinds of "other worldly" weapons is not in the hands of warmongers from this world because then they wouldn't be standing there just watching.
So the real world shows that not only weapon manufacturing techniques in closest to our era evolved, but also people mindset of perceiving the world had evolved as well.

This episode showed basically the activities of soldiers from the real world, also can be a police force that can cease some criminals such as bandits, and the at the end of the episode being the rescuers from earthquakes and maybe magma flowing down from the volcano.

The method of calculation was indeed left out, but the reason they were demanding it was stated: reparations.
