We need to talk about Kevin

I swear this Kevin is creepier than any devil / possessed kid from horror movies. It's at the point it hurts the purpose of the movie. Very good movie still.

Watched both Skyline and Mirrors 2 on TV...both sucked.

Skyline was pretty much boring throughout the whole film excpet near the end, and even then the ending sucked.

Mirrors 2 is a little confusing...rather stupid.

Managed to get Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children on DVD. Pretty good, love the characters and the after story from the original game.

This is one movie i'm interested of seeing. It's got good reviews by critics that they say it might get nominated for an Oscar!

I have seen it already (it was released a month ago in France).

Trailer made it looks like they are dancing all the times, but I think they put all the dance scenes but one in the trailer.

The beginning is excellent, there are some amazing scenes (the "coat" scene), but the second half of the movie is kinda boring ...
They made it like he won't act in talking movies just because ... (yes, the sentence is complete) It's a bit thin as an excuse, so you can't really feel pity for him.

Oh, Dujardin got the prize for best actor in Cannes, but the dog deserved it. He literally stole the show. Best movie dog ever.

Last night, Sion Sono got my head rearranged, planted a pair of thermonuclear warheads and detonated them inside, pulled my eyeballs up and open, and tied an osmium orb to my jaw.

And had a nosebleed, too.

Four hours of Love Exposure was made of instant, epic win. I loved it!

Rented Green Lantern and saw it last night. Fell asleep through the first half hour.

I've finally watched Transformers : Dark of the Moon.

Lets see...

Movie 1: 'A'
Movie 2: 'B+'
Movie 3: 'C-'

I've also watched the recent 'Captain America' movie. Not too bad actually.

I saw Waking Life yesterday and today! Not as dreaming as I'd like but probably the best one out there. IMO, you get the same amount of dream information from a quick google search.

Watched In Time last week. The premise was certainly interesting, but the movie turned out to be a disappointing, especially coming from the guy who was behind GATTACA.

Macross Frontier ~Sayonara no Tsubasa~: Great movie, fantastic animation and great music as always.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: Just had to rewatch my favourite in the entire series. Charming and full of atmosphere unlike some of the recent movies.
Spoiler for Something within the movie:

"Buried". The tension and claustrophobia were pretty hard to take and it ended up to depress me

The Lion King (Bluray)

Was my very first movie in the cinema and one of my very favorite movies, too. Never gets old! No idea how often I've seen it by now XD The nostalgia alone gives me such a fluffy feeling.

[grumpy old man mode]

I waited patiently for a decade hoping to see The Lion King in a theater. I'd only ever watched it on videotape with my daughter. Then I hear that it's going to have a theatrical run but only in 3D. I didn't want to see a 3D remake; I wanted to see the original movie that I had awaited for years. I searched the online listings hoping to find a theater that was showing a 2D version; there were none.

Watching a BD on my home television is better than watching a DVD, but it hardly compares to the immersion you experience in a theater.

Wouldn't you think someone at Disney might have thought that some pepole might like to see the original version as well? I guess my attendance is so marginal compared to the "bring in the sheep and their little ones with 3D!" audience that it's not even worth it to them to have just one showing a day somewhere in the original format.
