Nice episode, but I would like a bit more development, only 4 episodes are left.
Spoiler for Episode 18:

Appearance wise, do you think that Ouma Shu is good-looking guy?

One would be inclined to think that, but then...

<"SHUUUUUUUU!"

"GAIIIIIIIIIII"

*BANG/SLICE/EXPLOSION/PICK YOUR CLIFFHANGER CUTOFF*

Guilty Crown: R2/OVA/The Movie, Coming WINTER 2012>

I mean, seriously, why keep introducing new plot points even now?

i thought it was funny how no one from funeral parlor seemed to care shu was back in that hole screaming with his arm cut off, especially ayase who had a dumb look on her face all happy gai was back. Makes her episode a few weeks back utterly pointless, wheres the friendship? why am i supposed to care about what happens to her or tsugumi at this point. Alteast his old friends were shown with shameful faces with some guilt about with what just went down

Besides inori, the only ones that seemed to care about shu was those other 2 and the grandpa

I wouldn't call him ugly, but I'm much more interested on the plot (and a little bit on the female cast I guess) than in Shu's appearance

Yes they keep adding new things, and not closing the current plot holes.
18 episodes have passed and we still don't know why Gai has all this knowledge regarding the virus.
And why Haruka said that Shu has been freed from the fate of the king?
What's this fate, to have babies with Inori and die? Is Inori something like a black widow spider?

I wish this anime had a light novel, It would be easier to get an idea of what's going on.

These things happen all the time, everyone betrays Shu one way or another.
That's why as noobita said earlier in this thread, this anime should be called "Netorare Crown" not Guilty Crown.
As much as I hate this genre (no offense to anyone who might like it), unfortunately it fits this anime perfectly.

OK. I've only seen the first episode. And my first impression wasn't all that. So, it was rather... "meh".

I dunno. I find it cliche. Give me a reason to keep going; I need spoilers. Though, I'll wait till eps 6 or so to really decide.

You're going to notice a lot of cliches.

Not sure if this is legit or shopped (usually these are in colour are they not?), but somehow it wouldn't surprise me given Japan's taste in characters of late.

@Kaioshin
I suppose it's about character rankings on various animes.
Can you provide a summary of what is written?

I don't see nothing wrong with Shu being number one.
Still good to see Kira up there

I feel like I'm watching the Oscars. And I hardly ever agree with those. How did that guy from Horizon get in the top 10? Why?

Because he's the main character of a popular series? Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon sells pretty good.

Anyway to me only the female character polls seems to reflect correctly what's the current popular anime trend in Japan. Every female characters in there comes from the current series and hype like the K-On movie (but I don't recognise No 6 character). But the male character poll...not so much

I think the polls just tells us what is popular at the current season. As the Winter Season doesn't have many strong anime except Nisemonogotari it is expected for GC to dominate the polls.

Er...No.6 is Sheryl Nome...

And the polls actually tell us what was popular one-two months ago...

It's legit - popularity poll from Newtype March issue. This is the third time both Shuu and Inori have made it - they were both 5th in Feb's poll.

If anyone's wondering, the polls in other magazines (Animedia, Animage) often yield vastly different results. K-ON is pretty much the only constant - it appeals to the broadest audience.

I support this.... Shu and Inori are deserved to be in 1st rank....
but let's see how long can they stay up there...
let's see... we still got two of my favorite character there... Lelouch and Kira

Well, it's just the beginning of the first book (like a preview), so you should pay moneys for the whole thing...
Also I don't think that anybody is willing to translate this... I hope that someone will at least translate VN when it will come out.
