Um,I DID look at the time period (1853) Edo. I also looked at the same artwork you did and I saw CC,Renya& a person who we must not name as he ain't even an itch in his daddy's pants yet (hell his daddy ain't even born yet)! So fing what IT'S A WORK OF FICTION, which means ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
Certain people here LACK an imagination and aren't open to anything except what has been said by Sunrise. Damn I feel sorry for them!
Also I seem to remember the word 'speculation' being used on page 1 and the release says "new project involves new music, goods,AND ANIMATED WORKS!
Finally,no we DON'T know what will come about on April 23 and no I'm not betting on anything specific yet. However they(Sunrise) made money on this horse and to think that they'd mess with a winning combination is just silly! When the new manga comes out I'll check it out and who knows it might be a way to go. I said it in one of these threads that I thought that CC IS the main character to CG and the story revolves around her but she runs things through her various puppets. So whatever happens happens!

(Lol, I got neg rep'd.)

TL;DR, Is there a reason people are getting worked up or is this just another instance of rejecting Word of God.?

Didn't CC say LL reminded her of someone from long ago? This could be that story?

Something about a new ED to Zero Requiem...looks kinda old (the picture poses do anyways), could just be referring to the original Requiem.

picture is old, I don't remember seeing it with the new Newtype scans and the image is old
Text is about an ending single, not an actual series ending

Perhaps when you stop thinking you're the word of god maybe there wont be -rep? Either way if you're gonna get worked up over -rep then just disable it.

Because what she's saying is the truth; i.e. Lelouch is dead and not coming back?

Believe it are not I guess because they CAN. And I'm guessing they're gonna do what they want to do. To hell with the rules you've imposed they're saying were gonna do what they want! And God bless 'em for it!!

So what? It doesn't matter if it's the truth or not, saying it's the word of god is incredibly arrogant... Not to mention that this whole Lelouch is dead nagging is getting even more annoying than all the alive talk.

The "Lelouch is dead" talk only gets brought up when people bring up the "Lelouch is alive" topic. Which, as it is, is off-topic for this thread. And simply ignoring it isn't do any good because it just gives people the illusion that its okay to be off-topic whenever they feel like it.

Nothing really new.

The Japanese video distributor Bandai Visual will put "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Kiseki no Birthday" — the December 5 stage event that announced the "New Code Geass Project" — on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and UMD on April 23. While 100 minutes of this home video release's 140-minute run-time will be devoted to the live event, it will also feature the "latest footage of the 'New Code Geass Project'" among its 40 minutes of bonus extras.

I think someone has a very dire need to look up the term 'Word of God' when in reference to fiction before trying to use it in their own statements.

I don't like ANN to much stuff they say is just guesses from what they have heard people say.
And they never go back to correct errors.

Sunrise is really careful with their franchises Code Geass is known as a science fiction, mecha anime.

Isn't the new manga lighter in tone? I read it doesn't include mechs. This is the company that Gundam built. R2 sucked. The end of Code Geass was a disappointment.

Season 3 seems like a good idea, maybe a reboot. There are a ton of ways a talented writer can go from the end of R2. There were enough plot holes in R2, you can pick one and go nuts. Pick something that was introduced in season 1 or R2 and expand on it.

I'll second that motion! It IS entirely possible to re-tell R2 or do an S3,however there are those here who want to stay on the "facts only" trail so any speculation has been hamstrung!
I've rewatched R2-ep25 enough times to come to similar conclusions that many others did but after the fallout of the above posts on "Lulu Dead or Alive" ad nausem I just don't care to speculate anymore as our hands are now tied!
But yeah Mechalord your hypothesis IS entirely possible!
