Would have preferred an adaption of one of his manga, but this is also good.

I'm assuming written by rather than directed by, but any Mizukami in anime form is huge news.

I have to ask, though - the guy has three or four historically great manga that have never been adapted. So WTF?

If it's half as good as Spirit Circle, I'm sold.

Also, seems like it'll have a cartoony giant robot. Man, I'm getting more hyped by the second.

The manga is pretty lit. Very hyped for anime now.

Mizukami is drawing manga for anime he wrote and designed characters. Anime will obviously end before manga.

I can't wait. I would have loved to see one of his manga adapted, but an anime original series written by him should be gold too.

If it's 1/10 as good as Spirit Circle it'll be 10x better than 95% of the shows on the schedule.

How the hell am I only now finding out about this?! I've read all of Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, so yeah, I'm in.

My own take on this: if it gives us half the emotional intensity of Lucifer or just as likable of a main cast and this could be something else.

While I prefer Spirit Circle, Lucifer is the one where I'm truly astonished an anime never happened. Amazingly "telegenic" manga. Apparently those Gainax rumors were all BS and it's never even been seriously discussed - utterly mystifying.

What a bucket list I have for manga adaptations... Spirit Circle, Otoyomegatari, Vagabond...

I'm just happy to get bocchi, personally.

Getting an anime original from this author will be an interesting experience, at least.

My God, seeing Mizukami's unmistakable characters actually moving around on-screen feels so surreal.

Funny, to me the hype truly began after that shot with multiple characters standing side by side, a moment that might as well have been taken directly from Lucifer, and more than the pose there's the fact all said characters are totally different from one another, again, just like Lucifer. There's also the fact that the enemy they seem to be fighting looks so darn silly, if not downright bizarre, which... well, you get the point. To me at least, this has the author's name written all over it.

As far as characters designs go, I had given them a good look before, but I remember Lucifer's characters looking, how to put it, sharper? Maybe its because my memories focus so much on strong expressions. Either way, I'm definetly hype for this one.

As someone that finished Biscuit Hammer not too long ago, seeing everyone line upped together, shoulder to shoulder was just great. Here's to hoping the cast is just as lovable.
