English Manga

Heya folks, how you guys doing?

Ok, to begin with I'm not sure if this breaks any of the forum rules. If this does, delete, close, flame, or burn this thread

I went out to the bookstore today and found that they had the first manga book thingie of Naruto in English. Wow, so they're finally releasing it in english? Dope. Too bad it's only the first one. They need to be releasing a few more to catch up with the episodes we're at now.

Anyways, it was pretty cheap, didn't cost much.

Just thought I'd share it with you all. I know some of ya might want to start their collection

Again, excuse my thread, but I thought it would be appropriate to post it here. And sorry if this violates any forum rules.

The one I got was for $5.78 or something like that with tax. It was worth it in my opinion

I was kinda thrown off guard. Opened up book one and I saw that it started with Naruto's training with Kakashi...then I realized it said I had to read from right to left

It's been in getting released in the english Shonen Jump for about a year now and they just decided to start putting it in graphic novel form.

They are just at the beginning of the second time they fight Zabuza though.

@Naruto@, I just got the graphic novel at Fairview Mall. All I have to say is, finally!

Finding English manga here is such a drag. I only know two stores that sell them, and they take forever getting them out. I understand volume 2 of some SJ GNs are already out in the States, but they're not here yet.

viz sucks gai's balls.

i would prefer to have a script in my hand and read the raw. really.

i hate how naruto calls kakashi "master kakashi" when kakashi will do fine.

hell! inane's translation is 1000 times better simply because the SFX are not changed. you miss some of kishimoto's work editing the SFX.

yeah. but imma getting viz's shounen jump just the same... but at least i can claim i am having backup copies on my computer for my own use!

Pfft, you should be happy the manga's even out at all in America. That would get more people interested in Naruto, 'sucky' translation or not. Besides, if you wanted to read it on a trip, you can't exactly bring your computer along, now can you?

Anyway, I'm glad the American Shonen Jump has Naruto. That's how I first heard about it and became a fan...
