Hi, I watched the first season of QB but I don't remember whether I have seen the whole season or not. I think the quality went down quite a lot during the mid-season, and the story wasn't much fun either. So I skipped season 2 as well. But I just watched the Beautiful Fighters series and loved both the art and service, and the story is quite fine as well. So I am wondering whether I should go back and watch season 2. Has the art and story of season 2 has improved a lot over season 1? How does it compare with the BF-series? Which group of character does it focus on? I don't think I will watch it if the sister, or the human black smith is heavily involved: those things are hideous. Nor can I bear with Yumir for very long.

The story, and overall execution, of the second season switches between the entire cast throughout the episodes; as a result, there are episodes that focus on Ymir, Melpha and Cattelya, but it's only one each. And that's about what the second season delivered: instead purely focusing on Leina, everyone gets their own time in the spotlight, though it only lasts one or two episodes.

I thought the story was better in the second season as a result of the shifting focuses on characters; the drama has been increased as well over the first season as well, something the Beautiful Warriors OVAs continued.

I thought the second season was an overall improvement over the first season. So, yeah, I recommend it.

@MoonLight91: I'm pretty sure Nyx didn't die in Vanquished Queens. As far as Nyx's mother's name is concerned, it may have been mentioned in one of the manga series (where Nyx gets a LOT of attention for some reason), but I don't remember seeing it.

As it happens, I scanned Queen's Blade Anthology 1 and got someone to translate it for me. Sadly, I suck at proof-reading so I can't speak too well about the dialogue (which might be an issue due to the original writers really).

Anyways, here's Chapter 2 of it. Chapter 1 hasn't been done due to something I really didn't get from the translations (some kind of japanese pun or something?).

Anyways, I'll try and upload a few more chapters as time goes on.

I actually liked Nyx's design: long hair, red dress, slender, with long legs, and a sorcerer. But they seem to be content to make her a side character and an excuse for tentacle actions.

It seems to be free to play, and you can pay for basic items.
I wasn't able to play today, but seems like there's an adventure mode for one person, and a mode to ally yourself with other players.

No problem.

I'm a fan of Nyx myself. I wish the anime treated her better though, because as it is, like you said, she feels like an excuse for tentacle action. I actually like her tragic character a lot, and it'd be nice to develop her more as the tragic figure she is as well as the nemesis of Elina. Oh well, with so many characters, some are bound to be put to the background.

Yep, Claudette was defeated.
As far as I can tell, she was cursed as well, the "Amplification Curse" enhanced both her power and her hatred for the nobles, probably.
I believe they'll fight the Witch next... though there are at most 7 chapters left in the volume.

I'll ask as well, though: Was QB Struggle ever partially translated?
