Good! The VN was pretty short but the story hit me pretty hard since I was a massive Kurisu fan back in the day. Also: we get to see more of Amane Yuki which is great news

With the original series rebroadcasting in fall 2017, Spring 2018 would not be an entirely illogical guess. But still a guess.

I take it you haven't played the game then? Well all I will say is that I that the zero game follows after Okabe goes back in time the first time at the penultimate episode of the original anime but then lacks the courage to go back a second time. They actually went ahead and animated that with a beta version of the episode in one recent rebroadcast.

Personally I'm extremely hyped for this. I loved the first season and the zero game was (to me, someone who doesn't particularly enjoy VNs) pretty riveting from start to finish. It gave me some major knots on my stomach to see what the bad end looks like but the payoff is oh so sweet. We also finally got to see Suzuha's mother Yuki and she was absolutely lovely. Daru is a lucky SOB

For those watching Steins Gate 0, how is the show so far? I have not decided whether or not I should watch it as is currently airing or just wait until is long over and see what people thought about it.

I played the VN and was afraid I was going to hate the show for not being the original and/or for diverging from the source. No such thing so far, I've been enjoying every minute of it. It's a very different feel from the original show since it deals mostly with Okabe dealing with the choice he made so it's kind of heavy but it works imho. I say pick it up. I don't know if it'll end in a way that feels satisfying but I like what I've seen so far.

It might be better to wait until the show ends. The anime has apparently made some drastic changes to the VN to the point players have no idea what they're trying to do. It could turn out well, or it could end up being a disaster.

Personally, I'm enjoying it. It's nice to see those characters again and the show has already given us a few great moments.

Ehhhh... What they're "trying to do" is make something nonlineair into something lineair. We won't really know how effective they are until the end.

Although I always appreciate a good time travel yarn and love studying the dynamics of time travel, for this story in particular seeing Okabe and Kurisu get their happy ending together is what would make all things right.

Steins;Gate Elite delayed to early 2019 in the west

Spike Chunsoft has delayed Steins;Gate Elite from its previously planned 2018 release window to early 2019 in North America and Europe, the publisher announced at Anime Expo 2018. It will be released for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam.

As previously announced, the PlayStation 4 and PC versions will include a high-definition remake of Steins;Gate Phenogram, which is a collection of 10 additional stories written by renowned writers such as Kotaro Uchikoshi. The Switch version will include Steins;Gate 8-bit, a special 8-bit graphics and chiptune version of Steins;Gate developed by series creator Chiyomaru Shikura.

In Japan, Steins;Gate Elite was previously dated for a September 20 release on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PS Vita.
