Huh, Sophie got praise from Zaruba, that's nice.

The situation with Natalia reminded me of a scene in Kamen Rider Gaim, where a character advises the MC to be wary of people with secrets as they can manipulate those who don't have enough information.

Serious question though, can a town recover from that kind of destruction? I mean, how would they rebuild?

Btw, the animation in this episode really took a nosedive. I think even the animation in episode 4 & 5 are much better.

Probably just like how the people in the US rebuild their homes after got hit by disasters like Katrina and the recent trilogy of hurricanes in Central & North America.

In the US, there is disaster insurance. If the town citizens had it, then they would get money to rebuild their homes and business. The town government can apply for federal aid.

I kinda wanted to see the townsfolk apologize to Sword at least a little for the misunderstanding, even thought they got alot of rebuilding or relocating to do ~ I suppose Sword himself knows that best and he just shrugged it off as a bad day

I am not knowledgeable of Garo franchise, but is there any point in (what I assume is) near future, where Horrors take over part of country (America?) turning it into lawless zone?

Oh yeah. It starts in Washington, D.C, but eventually extends to the rest of the US, and it happens every four years.....depending on who you ask, this last one was especially bad. Horrors on all sides, no one was safe.

Jokes aside that would be interesting to know.

At some point after the first two live action shows something happens that almost wipes out the organisation and leaves things in a very bad way. It is never really explained just the effects are shown.

Now the official word is that the animes are all in their own worlds as well as being separate from the live action stuff. But there is a lot of bleed over between them so I think this show is just playing with the same idea.

Well usually the Senate would order several knights and priests to dispose of the horrors before an area gets overtaken by horrors. There are cases where horrors take control of abandoned buildings and make it their base. But they are usually disposed off. Before it can grow too big.

A major difference between the live action series and anime is the priest. The anime tend to give the priests better weapons. While the live action tend to make them use brush made from a sacred beasts and spells.

Glad to see him, Gina, and Sophie traveling together now. I always felt like they would be the core trio of this story.

With a title like "Family", I thought we might explore Sword's past and learn more about his little sister, but nope. Just horror of the week and his family.

I've got to say, Sword made a beautiful speech. I can only agree with him.

Would'ya look at that, our 3 travelers look like a family now! The possibility of Sword & Gina hooking up & adopting Sophie is there, though at the same time, I kinda don't see it happening and just having them resume their daily activities by the end of it all with some extra life lessons ~ kinda hoping for more than that though..

Garo's back and pretty much starts dumping El Dorado on us with prophecies, and rings. Never figured we would get legitimate foreshadowing in this show.

I don't like the OP and ED much. Nothing beats Jam Project for Garo OPs.

The episode was very nice. Gina impressed me, she's even more skilled than I thought she was. I wonder who's better, her or Luke. They both passed the trial, but we didn't get to see how Luke did it and we don't know if the enemies they had to face were the same.

The show went all Lord of the Rings on us. Really didn't think they were foreshadowing when they mentioned a ring that can control horrors a while back.
