Less people will be able to see it. If they show the rape, the show will get a rating of 17+ (minimum). Right now, the show is probably 14+ in my country. Persona 4 (anime) in my country has an age rating of 13+.

Hay, chill... I might be wrong, but that's just cos I don't dig this kind of physical abuse in my hentai. Anyway, I never played P5, so I won't know, but how does metaverse works in P5? Could the heroes have stopped Kamoshita from beating up and totally not raping anyone inside the metaverse?

Short answer: it's complicated.
They're not in the physical world when they're in the metaverse. It's the same thing in the other Persona series with Tartarus and the Tv World, they're different layers of existence that overlap each other, but you can't stop something from happening that's already happened. Well, except in Persona 3: FES, but that would have screwed the world. Anyway, what they're doing is basically playing dominoes with cause and effect. Removing the treasure, as discussed in the episode, removes the source of what makes them distorted. That leaves the guilt and everything else behind and they no longer can filter it out, which Morgana pointed out would likely make him confess his crimes and return to being a normal human being. Morgana also points out that outright destroying/removing the all desires would cause a mental shutdown, so the treasure is the alternative to a more expedient solution of just killing the king and being done with it.

The heroes did not expect the thing with Shiho to happen. They were hesitating because Morgana told them that their actions may lead to Kamoshida's death. It was only after the thing with Shiho happened that they decided it was worth the risk. Regardless, even if they hadn't hesitated for a day, due to how palaces work, they would have needed a few days to get everything in order to be able to take the treasure in the first place, so there really was nothing they could have done to prevent it.

Finally, the real OP! It's pretty damn sweet.
So they kept negotiations in, I'm happy about that. I was thinking they might have Joker obtain new personas randomly. They wasted no time introducing fusion right after. I was glad they introduced Tae, but the way they did it felt pretty random. How Ren became her guinea pig made more sense in the game. That spoiler at the end of the episode, what the hell are they thinking?

This anime managed to fulfill one of my "things I want to see before I die", namely to see Zero and Kira either facing off against each other or teaming up as main characters. This anime fulfilled the latter.
But honestly, I don't recall any series where both of them were voicing characters, escpacially not main characters.

I recognized Ryuji as Mamoru Miyano instantly. I did not realise that Jun Fukuyama was the MC though.
The episode... Wasn't the worst, I suppose. I really don't feel like it does the game justice. But at the same time I do hope this show is better at creating conversations than the game is. So they managed to somehow keep in negotiations. I didn't feel like the execution was very good though. And well, while it makes sense to fuse Pixie and Arsene into Agathion (who is of the Chariot arcana, which is Ryuji) thematically, he looks kind of underwhelming compared to the sheer badassery of Arsene. Is this really going to be the last we see of Arsene for most of the show though? Also what the hell is up with that stinger? Flashing forward for no real reason? |
