Light novel Eromanga-sensei is getting an animated adaptation, from writer of Oreimo.

Plot Summary:

The "new sibling romantic comedy" revolves around Masamune Izumi, a light novel author in high school. Masamune's little sister is Sagiri, a shut-in girl who hasn't left her room for an entire year. She even forces her brother to make and bring her meals when she stomps the floor. Masamune wants his sister to leave her room, because the two of them are each other's only family.

Masamune's novel illustrator, pen name "Eromanga", draws extremely perverted drawings, and is very reliable. Masamune had never met his illustrator, and figured he was just a disgusting, perverted otaku. However, the truth is revealed… that his "Eromanga-sensei" is his own younger sister! To add to the chaos that erupts between the siblings, a beautiful, female, best-selling shoujo manga creator becomes their rival!

Episode 1:

I got what I had expected from this.
The character designs are pretty faithful.

Masamune's voice is also really recognizable as the MC. The series explores the idea of making light novels so expect to hear a lot about that. Sagiri is cute but her personality is really shy. I actually think her VA did a decent job at portraying her.

The part about the Eromanga author is parodied with a mask although it was pretty obvious who she was in the first place. Anyways yeah, pretty straightforward episode.

Yep it was really good, the animation was nice and the designs are quite close to the original ones. Masamune's VA is okay (sometimes hated him) but in Sagiri's case the VA did an amazing job.

The story for now is interesting but everyone knows why are we watching this

Just finished episode 1. Hiro Kanzaki did a great job on the character design like always. The animation was great, the pace of the story was good too and Sagiri is even more lovely in the anime form. Funny how at the start they showed a glimpse of all the characters like Muramasa, Elf and Megumi. Elf of course bossing the mover around.

Next episode Megumi and Elf, going to be fun.

After I read the LN, I am really glad to see anime. The characters looks really nice and see Segiri makes me feel nice. Can´t wait for more!

Ep 01

Color me surprised ... I was expecting this to be terribad, but the first ep itself was decently okay. I found myself enjoying the character designs especially, and the lead characters are actually ... not so bad.

Where the story will go is another issue entirely for me, but the first episode was ... yeah, decent. (Better than Sagrada Reset's premier ep was for me, anyway.

)

Will cautiously give the next ep or two a try....

I was sort of wondering how he'd discover his sister was Eromanga-sensei. Seriously glad that big bro stopped her before the viewers saw something they were never supposed to see. Imagine everyone's shock to discover that rather than the rumor that the AUTHOR is a cute grad-school girl, it's actually the ILLUSTRATOR (OK, cute barely-entered-junior-high girl, but you really think they'll be able to tell the difference?) That said, it would've been funny to picture some stupid otaku writing "I don't want to see an old dude naked" suddenly seeing cute panties. But seriously though, with that body frame and those legs, how the heck was anyone unable to realize they weren't looking at a man?

Strong Oreimo vibes in this one, but not in a bad way. Bonus that they're step-siblings and could legally become a husband-wife pair in four or more years.

Waiting to find out just what happened to their parents.
