Uramichi Oniisan

Manga 'Uramichi Oniisan' is getting an anime adaptation.

Plot
Quote:
Hello, boys and girls!
Do you like guys with more than one side to them?
Omota Uramichi, 31 years old, stars as a gymnastics teacher on the educational TV program "Together with Mama."
He might be sweet, but all boys and girls are inevitably scared off whenever they get a glimpse of the adult darkness that's the result of "Mister Uramichi's" emotional instability...?!

This is a tragic eulogy to all the "boys and girls" who are now adults!

That OP song is very catchy imo. We got Uramichi showing his entertainment skills with the kids. The way he just changes his character expressions is comedy gold. Uramichi is 31 years old but not married and doesn't have kids. I like how he reacted to Miki's question.

Very lighthearted anime but Uramichi's personality is the most entertaining part of the show imo. His friends and colleagues were also entertaining to see. Glad to see the core cast of the anime are all grown up adults.

That little girl's question... how many times have I been asked that? And the answer never changes. It never will. At least she has the excuse of being an innocent little girl.

The first episode was rather amusing. No laugh out loud moments, but the contrast between Uramichi's TV persona and his real self is fun.

man for me the comedy really worked i could not stop of laught and i do agree with his "kohai" if the mc hate's his work that much why he is working on it???, we don't get the answer, we just know which he was in the past a gymn/athletic guy but now become a children's show host and it's really don't feel like he is really enjoying it and take it more like a sort of "punishment" not because he hates childrens but because his life is pathetic and not what he dreamed for himself .

it's really good which the childrens are really innocent and can't catch all his despair and depression on his words every time he flips off in front of the cameras and the funny part which seens the program executives are fine with him going from a funny guy to a depressed one in front of the cams, maybe it already become part of the "character he tries to play in front of the cameras for the producers" and not him actually leaking his real frustrations.

When people ask me that now my answer to that is, "Because I like having money."

This is a strange show. It's intriguing and the other characters are also somewhat interesting and in a similar boat as Uramichi. The deadpan answers to the kids who don't really know what adult concerns are all about were golden. I'm interested to see how this show develops over the next few episodes.

This was a very funny first episode. Had a lot of moments that made me grin or snicker. And also moments that made me nod my head in agreement. Dude is so relatable, why do people push their idea of happiness onto you, why do you always gotta smile and pretend everything is alright, why not just accept everyone's different and some are happy with their cheap sake and watching bad drama shows alone? And what is up with getting married after 30 and those fake concerned questions about why you aren't married yet? ARGH!

I assumed they edit out all the moments where Uramichi breaks character. Otherwise, it'd be a very strange kid's show.

Nana Mizuki went all out, I'm not sure Utano is supposed to be THAT good at singing. I want them to include one song each episode, that alone would make the show worth it.

Love it when Uramichi-oniisan does his "real talk about cruel adult life and mean society" and the kids go o.o. XDDD
And then they crashed him down when he tried to use them to get rid of this creepy doll the director is pushing. Kids are the cruelest, lol.
Putting Jump on her wedding dress magazines and being this unsuccessful as a comedian... yeah, I don't see Utano-Oneesan's relationship go anywhere...
Iketeru-Oniisan is really the one living the best life outta the three, at least he can laugh about dick jokes and got a lovely dog who's all over him, heh.^^
Bunny got trashed by Uramichi in the new segment though, great moment and oh so god-damn true.....

So the girl is the "I haven't been able to marry, boo-hoo" gimmick, to slightly differ herself from the protagonist's jokes. What's the other guy's?

He laughs every time he hears "chin" because he has the mind fo a child. That's about it. He actually seems the least depressed of them all.

The kids commenting on the mistakes was really funny. It seems like they're getting smarter.
