Now I would agree that if HIdan will only be doing his circus trick he did before, He should better die as quick as possible, in other words, I expect that HIdan do something new this time around. Still, Im skeptical that Kakshi will use his MS on HIdan, Im more inclined to somehting more interesting, not the Universal Comic Book Eraser

I don't think Zabuza showed any important new jutsu the second time he fought against Kakashi. I think Kakashi (and Haku) was (were) the one(s) who showed new stuff.

Anyway, I have been wishing for a good, quick, and possibly painful death or eternal suffering for Hidan since he killed Asuma. I don't think he deserves more of a fight than what was thought for Asuma.

Considering how long Kakashi's MS takes to start up, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't use it. He doesn't have Itachi's instant-MS-advantage. I see no problem with Kakashi being fast enough to lop Hidan's head off with the Chidori and then holding onto it. We saw that when his head gets severed, Hidan needs to be physically brought back to his body. But anything goes as of now I suppose.

We don't know how long it took for them to catch up with Hidan and Kakuzu, after the bird controlled by Ino saw them. It is possible that the time was enough for Kakashi to charge his Sharingan.

Hm, after reading the post's here. Lets see first there’s no way kakashi will use the MS because if he port's Hidan's head to another dimension then Shikamaru's head gets lopped off as well if he does it while the Kagemane No Jutsu is in place.

Kage Mane only causes the user to imitate the movements of the victim, not physically take the damage of wounds. So a user could potentially be hurt if the victim's body is contorted in a painful way, but they won't take damage from blows, stabs or limbs severed from the body

I don't belive that Kakashi will use his MS at this point, because like it's already been stated, once he uses it, he's basically out of the fight due to the after effects. It seems to be a jutsu that he relies on when there is no other option and the situation is desperate

I think there is much more to see from Hidan, hopefully he'll die after a long battle. Not so sure about Kakuzu, he seems like the type that wouldn't be above escaping if things got too rough.

Right, that’s my point so if Hidan's head suddenly left its body then it would also separate Shikamaru's head. Remember when Naruto punched Gaara his head moved to the right and Shikamaru's head moved to the left, not only that but it was almost like Shikamaru felt the heavy impact and his face said that he even felt a little bit of the pain as well. So if Hidan's head suddenly dropped off his body, your telling me Shikamaru's head will stay in place? I think the shadow would follow along and rip his head right off.

No need for spoiler tags since this isn't discussing chp 332. Shikamaru didn't feel any pain from Naruto's punch, he was complaining because of the sudden and violent way his head was knocked back. Think about how he defeated Kin in the chuunin exam, he bent back his body so Kin would hit her head against the wall. If he felt the same pain, he would've been knocked out, and if felt any lesser extent of the pain, he would've would said something (because Shikamaru complains about everything).

I think it can be safely said that Shikamaru doesn't feel anything when he inflicts a stab wound on anyone using Kage Mane, since he was prepared to throw kunai and the sound ninja who were caught in his jutsu and don't think he planned to kill himself. He could only feel pain if the opponent moved in way that was painful to him. Does a body part being severed count as movement on the part of the victim? I guess that depends on your point of view, but I would say no. The limb is merely being disconnected from the body and furthermore it's being separated from the internal chakra system, which is probably the basis for the jutsu. So it depends on the way Hidan's head would be removed. If it's ripped off, the violent motion from the tug would probably break Shikamaru's neck and kill him. But if the head is sliced clean off, the Shikamaru would probably be fine.
