Ep 01
Well, the first ep had literally nothing happen except character introductions and Usagi expressng her love of the town of Urawa during the Springtime. Even so, it was not that bad and is only a short after all, so I may give this one a few more eps....

Sadly, this show isn't working for me. There's usually a certain magnetic pull Slice of Life needs to succeed, to draw you into the world of their characters. Sadly, Urawa offers no such compelling hook, and the dialogue and jokes are all by the numbers and perfunctory - but also quite stiff. In a season with multiple good Slice of Life shows (Hibike Euphonium, Kirno Mosaic S2), I'd give this one a miss, despite being three minutes.
Yama no Sume, this is not. |
