Actually Lidva did mention this, and yes you are correct they are married to God.

At this, the Pope stops breathing.
He does not fully grasp what Fianma of the Right is saying.
Fianma simply continues,
“[That] is in England. We must have [That] at all costs. Be that as it may, our compatriots have meekly offered [That] up I feel. That’s why there is need to consider causing a major uproar. In order to get that [That] in our hands, the Roman Catholic Church must increase its application of colossal force to its operations.”
“What are you saying….?”
“Nn? I do not wish to answer that. Besides, this action is not necessarily out of line with your wishes. With [That] in hand, Academy City, maybe even the Science Side, will be shattered utterly.
“What….?”
The Pope, who still has no idea what’s going on, asks.
“What is [That]?”
“Aah…..”
Fianma simply opens his mouth.
The words that come out are

Gatan!
A sound echoes throughout.
It’s the sound of the great columns of St Pietro’s Basilica colliding into one another at the back of the staggering Pope.

Fianma easily counters.
“What do you think?”
“Fuck!!”
“It’s enough that the Pope of all people has been my temporary friend and ally. It’s been most effective.”

I'm sure it's the translator's choice of words, but that said the Italians (Assassin's Creed knowledge again) can be quite colourful with their swearing so the F word can be considered mild

Oh, the irony!

I've just realized a part of Volume 1 has updated since the last time I checked, and two lines made me laugh.

This one just had me chuckling.
