I wouldn't say messed up badly exactly, since it's still visually appealing in some ways, but it definitely isn't representative of your skill As such, I'm not gonna C&C it either, since you probably know what I'm going to say

Btw, I have a potential request for you if you're still active! Pretty please??

Thank you ganbaru and yeyec! I really appreciate the comments.

Patchy pon, you're a sweetheart like always ^.^

Rennir chi I know it's not one of my best works, I am still waiting for a computer of my own to use I'm pretty picky so they are expensive. Well, I'm sorta active but you can make a request and I will bump you as soon as I can fulfill it!

Just a quick thing I managed to do for a SOTM :

The biggest issue than I see are the abscence of the main diver's half light, shouldn't there be a bit more than the few pixel of blue on the air bottle ?

Nice tag, but I would like to see the original image too I think you could've made the lighting a bit harsher IMO, but other than that, wonderful work

ganbaru, underwater light has different properties and is not as pronounced as on the surface, so making it brighter and more apparent would not be correct. I know for sure because I'm an Open Water diver myself.

Rennir chi, I don't have the image unfortunately I work on my brother's computer when he's not around and then delete everything...

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Another thingy I just did today, it was a request from an anime forum that I'm an admin on:

- if anybody wants it tell me and I'll make it AS safe

Wow! Awesome graphics! If you don't mind me asking, but kind of brushes and filters did you use to get those effects? And again great works, wish I had the confidence to post my own on here. :P

Hey, thanks for the appreciation Jmac! Nice to see new faces around here, you should try and post! You've got nothing to lose!

In the last one I used smudge with a hard brush with no settings set on 91%, changing sizes and having finger painting ticked on from time to time, getting colors from my stock and continuing to smudge, this for the background. I used splatter brushes for the foreground with clipping masks and used a bit of liquify to even the odd ones out.

As for the colors, just what I had in the stock, then I created a new layer, made some red lines, smudged it again with same settings, set it on color dodge and with ctrl-u I changed the saturation/hue until it fitted.

I also used curves on the overall, and a brightness/ contrast adjustment with reduced brightness.

Maybe I'll do a tutorial for it on Sunday, anybody interested in one?

Wow, that seems alot of work, but been meaning to try out the smudge tools, but kinda over my head, because I rely too much on brushes for my effects and want to branch out. And I'd read that tut if you decide to make one since I'm always open to learn new things

Genji-chan, aww, thanks to you too! Just that I used smudge for the BG, and clipping mask brushes in the front.

Thank for the info about the underwater light property. Is it me or the bird on your last work seem to lack his eye or it's a issue abour resolution?

Sorry for the double post and bump. Found a creation I made for a duel with a friend, not really the most inspired thing ever but...

Now that's a cool graphic. I'd really like to know how you did that, especially the text. :P

The Ready for Summer one looks really cool and pro. The R in summer is kinda blocked though but it looks pretty damn fine.

The only mistake I can see is, as ahelo already said, the ''R'' of ''summer'' being behind the colorfull thing, if it's a mistake. One thing thought, why not using some transparency insted of the white section, file's weight restriction, limitation to JPEG ?

Since I didn't have a lot of time, considering I still don't have my own computer that can sustain a program like Photoshop CS5, I've taken the text from a stock picture I had. The rest was just blending, clipping mask, mirror tool, vectors and some other stock to make it all go together. Not one of my best achievments. /gives cookies and thanks

Thanks ahelo, I appreciate the thought. I wanted the text to not stand out even more than it does, and the other focal to be blended well with it.

Since I don't make most of my sigs AS safe it wasn't a thing of transparency, I just wanted the white border, that was all. Not one of my best turn outs. Thanks for the C&C!

Well, I'm gonna start making gifts and the first is Patchy pon . Who wants to be next ?

This is Patchy's:

And this one has to be one of my best outcomes this year. It's a request and it came out better than I expected and in half the time. I guess I just had a good hand that day:
