I get the strategy now, they have made the die hards so desperate for new content that they will not even care about the quality at this point so long as they get ANYTHING! This by far beats Bandai's strategy with Gundam and the whole "No new series planned for the anniversary.....ohhh wait....NOT!"

Well that doesn't work on me. I am curious to see some new Haruhi anime, but that doesn't mean I am chomping at the bit. We shall see what comes this following week, but we shall be aware of Kadokawa's game and shall enjoy the fun and the game, having not been a victim in the so-called trolling and hype, but having greeted this like any other Summer 2009 series. Oh the fun we'll have....on with the show this is it. Whatever the show shall be that is.....

Who cares?! Whatever happens happens, and frankly I think people are well within their rights to be annoyed at all the drama Kadokawa has created over this potentially new Haruhi content. There's really no reason for it. Sure they are geniuses for creating buzz out of overwhelming negativity, but it's still very likely that there are going to be unforeseen repurcussions that come back to haunt them should the new episodes air without any sort of advance notice.

This kind of reminds me of back in the day when those new Dragon Ball Z episodes aired after ages of reruns and everybody in my school was only aware of it about 3 episodes in. Oh those were the days.....albeit without this level drama.

I just hope people have considered that if these episodes do indeed air in chronological order with regard to the series then there are going to be gaps between the new episodes and that it's going to almost certainly be wildy inconsistent with regard to animation quality among other things. Consideration......hmmm........now I think I might actually be getting ahead of myself.

For your convenience (and my code integrity) I have a little Microsoft Excel spread sheet calc going to tell me how much time's left til 5/21/09 01:00:00 JST.

So, starting from A1 and going down {notes on the side}

=NOW() {function for the current time, should give something like 5/17/09 21:31}
5/21/09 1:00 {hand enter, the supposed first airing time of BLR}
=TIME(16,0,0) {this is the offset between your time and JST. So for me Pacific Daylight Time that would be 16 hours. Enter accordingly.}
=A2-A3 {this will display BRL airing time in YOUR TIME. For me that would be 5/20/09 9:00}
=A4-A1 {this will give you the time remaining from now til BLR. With the correct formatting it may display in hours like 59:28:46, which is little less than 2.5 days.}

So yes in less than 60 hrs we'll be saying either (1) FUCK YEA, (2) oh shit, or (3) Nice Boat?

As I posted on ANN, it's a fansite. It's hosted on dreamhost, has english metatags, and almost nowhere on google links to it.

Compare to haruhi.tv which has japanese meta tags, a banner which says "The official SOS brigade site", etc.

I wish someone here had Haruhi-style powers, so that if they wanted a second season badly enough, it'd just poof into existence on the 21st, even if KyoAni hadn't touched anything Haruhi related in the last few years.

Either that or a time traveller, who could just tell us what will happen.

Well even by KyoAni standards running 14 eps of Chronological 14 eps numerical is insane.

There has to be some added content. That, or they're just stupid.. and no business that is successful is stupid.
