Episode 4 was really solid.
Some of the conversations and emotional dilemmas here don't quite hit home with me, but Fear's plight of not wanting to be a burden, but still deep down wanting to belong and be loved really worked. Tamura Yukari delivers her lines with such intensity and sincerity, she must be channeling some force of nature; this is too good to be human. I've never wanted to be cursed this badly in my life. Amanda's story was a little too brief, and that made its resolution seem like a slight cheap shot at my emotions, but I would be lying if I said it didn't work. Poor thing thought she had finally found someone who would show her the slightest bit of affection, and then she's brutally murdered. I'm too human to not be saddened by that, even if it did happen a little too quickly. By the way, I think Mummy Maker is a damn cool name. Damn cool.

But how is it evil if she is just trying to protect her friends by sowing dissent amongst their enemies? Anyway, I'm guessing we'll find out more about Kirika since she's bound to get caught up in the battle next episode. |

I think you might be on to something with the late night assailant, but couldn't it simply just be another card of Mummy Maker that Peavy found, and not at all the same as the one she gave to Haruaki? After all the contents are not the same.

Hmm, did it occur to anyone that maybe whoever it was that was at Aki's house the second time wasn't Amanda? When she died it looked like she still had both her arms, unless she can somehow just re-attach her arm after it's cut off. If that WAS her and they were just gonna kill her off anyways why include that scene where she grabs her arm before escaping? It doesn't exactly add anything to the episode.
