The anime focuses on badminton players on a corporate team, with characters who work at a day job in a company and also play badminton. The story centers on Mikoto Shiratori, a childhood prodigy at badminton, but who never recovered from a major loss during a high school competition. Now, he works in the sales department of the Sunlight Beverage company, playing badminton on the side.

I liked episode one. I hope they will do more animations of the rallies, the few that they showed were pretty good, but of course we are shown the angle with the character hitting the shuttle most of the time, not the full court viewpoint. One thing I liked was showing some of the footwork, and the transition to backhand. I hope there won't be too many "super powers", because having good game sense, and reading the other player is not super special, but can be learned.
Story wise, I'm digging it. As others have posted, its about adults playing sports, which breaks the over done middle/high school setting so many other sports anime focus on. They definitely parodied some of the Japanese companies. Sunlight is Suntory, Tomari is Tonami, Unisics is Unisys, Mitsuhoshi Bank is ??? This will be an interesting insight into the Japanese corporate sports world, as some, if not all of the badminton athletes of the Japanese National Team are employed by some of these companies as part of their "day job". I would also not be too surprised if they pulled some characteristics from select players like Yuta Watanabe, Kento Momota etc. |

Maybe you're referring to Mizuho Financial Group?
