ARENA 01: Nagato Yuki [Gokō Ruri (Kuroneko)]
* Yuki's abit too 'silent moe' for me...

ARENA 02: Aisaka Taiga [Misaka Mikoto]
* No hesitation.

ARENA 03: [Senjōgahara Hitagi] Eucliwood Hellscythe
* Eu has a better character design, but Hitagi have a winning personality.

ARENA 04: [Suzumiya Haruhi] Charlotte Dunois
* I don't really...

ARENA 05: [Fear Kubrick] Sena Airi
* GAH! This is almost as painful as Shouko vs Tsurara... Two weeks ago I would have picked Fear without any consideration, but the last two episodes of Mashiro-Iro has show Sena's deredere side

ARENA 06: Kosaka Chihiro [Takahara Ayumi]
* Just by a little bit.

ARENA 07: Anjō Naruko [Abstained] Chiriko Tsurumi
* Didn't watch Anohana.

ARENA 08: [Aria H. Kanzaki] Makise Kurisu
* Didn't watch Stein;Gate.

ARENA 09: Sawatari Fū [Abstained] Shinohara Akari
*Didn't watch...Either.

ARENA 10: Kisaragi Chihaya [Abstained] Miura Azusa
* Can't decide.

Hitagi vs. Yuu and Yuki vs. Ruri were the worst.

Interesting matchup between Elucia and Haqua.
Nice to see Tomoka from Ryo-ku-bu get involved in ISML.

@Regalstar: I am sure that question marks are indicators for the losers of today's match. First 2 question marks are consolation from 9-12, second 2 are from 5-8, and last two from 13-16.

No need to defend your choices hinakatbklyn. At least you didn't get neg rep because you innocently picture voted. :P In other news, check out the new exhibition matches, because they make Game8910 sad.

I am such a huge influential figure in ISML, yet people failed to notice for 3 years now.
Spoiler for exhibition:

Unless I'm not remembering correctly, Tomoka plays small forward, sooo...LeBron? Keep in mind that she may have a higher clutch stat.

She actually play as a SG (She did start off as a SF, then switch to SG with Hinata going from PG to SF and Saki from SG to PG), which would make her D-Wade...

Ruri beating Yuki is welcome.

Aria beating Kurisu - *facepalm*.

Basically my reaction too. Ruri I guess with the first upset of SE. Mikoto doing good too. Tsuruko pulling a decent vote total, close to Naruko. All good by me.

But Kurisu losing is facepalm galore. Not just the lost, but a high vote total too. I hope this doesn't speak volumes to how 2012 will be.

I made the prediction that Ruri could beat Yuki, but I'm still stunned that she pulled off the victory. That was an excellent result.
Since Mikoto was able to win against Taiga, I can finish no worse than at least 1 top 5 (Mikoto or Ruri) in the final match.

Unfortunately, Charlotte was unable to win against Haruhi. Otherwise, my other choices won as well.

What I find interesting is the regional breakdowns for Taiga vs. Mikoto, Aria vs. Kurisu, and Fear vs. Sena. In all three cases, Japan supported the girl that's not a loli-tsundere.

In Taiga vs. Mikoto, most countries supported Mikoto, but Japan was one of only three regions to support her by 66% or more (the other two being Russia and Africa).

In Aria vs. Kurisu, Japan was one of only four regions to support Kurisu by over 60% (the other three being Russia, East Europe, and West Europe).

In Sena vs. Fear, Japan was one of only four regions to support Sena, period. The other three being Africa, Russia, and South Korea.

This brings up a couple points for me:

1. Is the loli-tsundere losing popularity in Japan? Consider that loli-tsunderes didn't do particularly well in Saimoe 2011 either.

2. Are loli-tsunderes actually more popular amongst Americans than the Japanese? Americans supported Fear by a large margin, and only barely broke for Mikoto (compared to most other countries) and for Kurisu (which about half of the regions did, in spite of Kurisu losing).

Ugh I'd have to agree with you on both cases .

Also good to see Ayumi win.

P.S. We can blame China this time as Kurisu won japan, europe, russia, USA, canada, and few other areas .

Edit:

Maybe, but still has something since Astarotte did make into the top 8 for saimoe and she is a loli-tsundere(even if much less tsun than normal).
