The bit with the first episode taking place on a colony pretty much confirms it's all fake. We've known for some time now it takes place on Earth.

Duo - Yeah, a friend of mine who's a regular at 4chan linked me to the thread.

Nosferatu - That was actually a typo on the original poster's part. He corrected himself a few minutes after posting this, saying that he muddled up that one detail because he was rushed and strapped for time.

Enzo - lol! Do you not like Flit?

I liked kid Flit, not so much nightmare father Flit. I think he treated his son like crap and if peace were possible with the Vagan (and I'm not saying it definitely is) he'd do everything he could to destroy it.

I think the only way this war is going to end is if Flit and Ezelcant kill each other

A better question is if the series will end on Earth and not in space.

We've spent almost half the series in space with Earth being toted as some "eden" and now at this point we're on Earth.

Well technically speaking Flit didn't exact beat his son up nor insulted or put him down.

I mean compared to most crappy fathers that's pretty decent. It's not like Flit abandoned Asemu as a child or ignored him even.

And for the record the Vagans rejected all peace offers from the Federation who were already in their pockets to begin with so Flit didn't even had to do anything.

Flit's traumatic experience in this scenario could be when the EFF misquoted his "wipe out the Vegans" hard line for propaganda purposes.

Ending the war on Earth, the veigan's Eden, would be symbolic. With Ezcelcant presumed to be in Earth sphere by now, most of the veigans armed forces could have left Mars in order for the final attempt to succeed (especially if the earlier purges left the veigan's Earth logistics in shambles).

My, you have such high standards for being a decent father. There's a little thing called love, SoD. This means not just that you don't treat someone badly, but that you show them affection and care. Flit scores extremely low in this area.

I don't know, Compared to the other Fathers in Gundam, Flit's pretty much better than all of them, except for Cardeas.

Amuro has Tem Ray, who's pretty much a worse Flit

Kira has Ulen, who thinks of his son as some experiment

so yeah, I don't think Flit is a bad father, especially comparing him to the fathers of other protagonists.

I know Flit's not a bad guy, I just feel that you should set higher standards for fatherhood than "Well, so long as you don't neglect or abuse your child, you're A-OK."

If the second ED's anything to go by, Flit did show Asem plenty of love growing up. They likely grew distant as a result of Flit's continuing promotions and duties, though.

And as the war escalates, he's likely to get busier and busier as well. The only time we got to judge Flit is when he interacts with Asemu in a military setting where he is the high ranking officer.

Flit's biggest problem is that he set the bar way to high for a child that admires his farther.

In Asemu's view Flit is perfect in everything he does, he makes the best mobile suits, he is a/the ace pilot of the Fed forces and he is one of the highest ranking officers in the military.

With a farther like that you can not help but to try to compete with him, that is the human nature.

What Asemu missed was a big brother figure which he eventually found after meeting with Woolf.

I think it might be located beside the Orbital. It looks like a fatter/heavier AGE-1 or something though its hard to tell with the resolution.
