Yup, this felt more like a comedy. If you're ready for some sci-fi, there's that. But be more ready for the comedy and fan service because there's more of that. Kinda funny at the way the girls "faint". And there's also some experimentation stuff. Pretty lighthearted show so far.

Too much fun! Absurdity, innocence, stupidity, modesty, fanservice (robot, yuri, and nekomimi). What's not to like? Tanaka Atsuko (Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell) is great as the probably evil something-like-doctor. Numakura Manami does a perfect job as Clarion. And relative newcomer Fuku Sanae (Lisa in Aikatsu 3 and 4) gives Nene a lovely presence.
Whether there is enough material here for more than 2-3 episodes, I don't know. But I'll be back to find out.

Pretty much what the other posters said. My favourite parts are the saucy fanservice scenes and the overly silly yet adorable chibi scenes. It's a whacky show that throws us right into the action and it does whatever it wants to do or at least it feels like it. Fun stuff.

Man, this series feels like a throwback to early 2000s anime where we have wacky girls in a fantastical setting in which this time it's cyberpunk. I can imagine all the old AnimeSuki users who used to come here might go nuts over this about 10+ years back.

That was pretty fun. It's just kind of over the top silly, but not bad. The main character really is the good doing type that could be manipulated into doing just about anything. All for the sake of spending time with Clarion .
Nothing too serious, but a fun kind of show to watch in order to kill some time. Am a bit curious to see where things goes since it certainly seems like Nene has been recruited by quite the group there.

Episode 1
This was quite a boring episode. It had maybe a couple of good scenes, like how Nene gets powers from Clarion (that was quite something...), but apart from that, it didn't have anything else to keep me watching it. The cuteness didn't work for me either. Ended up being something mediocre in my opinion. I'll stay away from this one. |

You know I can tell at a glance that the art budget for this show wasn't a lot... but they've took that into account at the planning stage and decided the best way around it was to use a lot of silly faces (that are cheaper to animate ) ... and it works!
The humour is dead on too. I mean we got a big bosomed super villain(?) who like dressing up her cyborg minion in a maid outfit with cat ears... and fondness for large guns! It reminds me a bit of Trigun in good way for that reason. The sci-fi setting is also being properly explain and used to good effect despite the focus on humour/crime/light yuri fan-service. It still early days, but they neatly explained plenty in this opening episode without it feeling that info-dumpy. Keeper for me. |
