MP4 Audio problem

Hello everyone,

I am having a problem in playing MP4 files where the visual will play without audio.
The funny thing is quicktime is able to run the files perfectly but has problems with the file names so I cannot play without removing the torrent.
Anyone know of a solution?

It depends on the file sometimes, I know the pre-sets that I use for AEF, which are mp4 as well, cannot be played with WMP (but like your problem are playable in quicktime), you'll need a separate codec for it most likely

Are you using the latest CCCP?

doesn't always help with MP4, even CCCP can't play mp4 sometimes

Torrent? Remove it from the torrent utility, rename the file and load it up in the VLC Player. That should solve your problem.

Thanks for the advice, yes I am using CCCP.
I know I can play it with Quick time if I remove the torrent and alter the file name but that also means I am not helping out in the grand scheme.

I get it.

In that case, copy the video file and paste it in a separate folder, rename it and load it from there. And to save space, just delete it afterwards.

Thanks for the advice, I finally found out the problem, it seems I installed another codex and it was conflicting with CCCP.
After I had removed the codex in question, CCCP took over and is working fine.

FYI it's codec, standing for coder-decoder, and not codex.

It seems as if XP CODEC that I had installed conflicted with CCCP.
