I don't mean like next book, and yes Rizevim is still extremely powerful, but the things that need to happen for Rizevim to be defeated are already in motion, they now have a way of getting through Rizevim's defense, Ise just needs the power to finish the job now and a opening to do it (as in a way to deal with Lilith).

Before Penetrate, Rizevim was essentially invincible as far as we knew with Lilith and his Sacred Gear Canceller, he didn't even need to fight someone directly.

But in this volume both were overcome, while Rizevim wasn't defeated, both of his defenses were shown to be breakable.

If Rizevim was going to be the main villain in the next arc, Penetrate wouldn't have shown up until next arc as introducing it shows that Rizevim is vulnerable now which usually takes place as you get closer to the ending of the story, also I doubt Ise would have a mid arc fight with him if he was to return, if he was going to return the first fight between them would have been at the end of this arc.

Generally authors don't take away a villain's feel of invulnerability so soon, if he was coming back for another arc then this would still be the early side of his introduction.

That just how these things go most of the time, I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Well, i bet SG canceller is just one of his many dangerous abilities. You know, penetrate is just giving issei a chance to fight him, not necessarily defeat him.

Yeah but the same could be said for his battles against Raiser and Cao Cao, both times the other guy was far stronger yet Ise still won through a pre built strategy.

Now he still has a ways to go before he can defeat Rizevim but I think that it will happen before this arc is over.

Who's to say Ise's going to defeat Rizevim alone, anyway? If Penetrate can be transferred to his vision, perhaps it can be transferred to other people as well. Perhaps an Ise/Vali/Cao Cao team-up?

Not a bad idea, and Vali has more reason to hate Rizevim then anyone.

I can also see Vali finding some way of using the power of the Sekiryuutei like how Ise can use the power of the Hakuryuukou. Vali would have a lot more motivation once he realizes there is a power suitable for hitting Rizevim.
